    another great video.

You're really the best Beatles-acoustic-guitar player

  • @PepperUTube

thanks. yeah, that's a hard one to end. since the original just studio fades on an ad lib. it's hard to know what to do at the end. need to think it out a little better next time. cheers.

  • @troubleclef :-)

vocal + trompets (same time) = impossible to do I think (....mmhh .. for me)

try to play : vocal (3 bars), trompets (1 bars), vocal

no? I noticed that sometimes you play some bars longer that the song just to play a vocal or an instrument

    (sorry, I'm french)

  • All your stuff is amazing. I have a small piece of constructive critisism though.

It would be nice to hear a really clear melody that stands out from the chords/backing parts. I know it's amazingly hard to do in guitar arrangements (especially with Beatles tunes), but it would make your already maestro playing even more musical. This is just my opinion, maybe the melody is clear as day. Keep on making these!

  • fantastic! :{D

  • Beautiful.

  • GUITAR CAPTURES THE ESSENCE OF THIS PIECE!

    Musical Magic!

Having played this on piano, I love the tune..

But that Guitar says it all.... do..do... da...doo...doo do!

    VERY GOOD WORK!

  • Really nice!

  • elgoorro culiao feo

  • My name is M. P. McCartney...and I know good Beatles sounds when I hear it...and...this is not good...it's GREAT! How 'bout some Lucy In The Sky, Tony? Go to the rim. Ta!

  • Hey I really want to learn this song!!! I want to play and sing it to my wife on our wedding day I would love it if you could make a video to teach me!

  • As long as you know this song is about "marijuana" before you sing it to her.

  • I saw a lot of your video, and this one is one of my favorite. Thank's !

  • Superb!

  • You're amazing dude. I wish I could play guitar, lol. It's just too confusing for me, so I'll stick with the drums.

I grew up listening to mom playing beatles cds on this crappy little radio, and loved them ever since. Since I can tell you like the beatles, do you have The Beatles: Rock Band? It's a game featuring the beatles and it's amazing.

  • really amazing. thanks.

  • I can never get how good fingerstyle guitarists like this guy can keep the bassline going like that.

  • man that is amazing, such a detailed understanding of every component of the song.

  • you make my life better! cuz ur cute!

  • Troubleclef: you're the only person who's profile i visit when im spending some time on you tube so that i may indulge and smile. there have been many late, drunken nights when i'll share your videos with friends. i agree with latter comment in being so happy that you're in our lives.

If we were ever to cross paths, i would buy you a beer, or maybe some new strings if you dont drink...

    keep the greatness flowing freely.

  • beer AND strings, dammit. hahaha. thanks!

  • thanks for the music, especially this one- one of my favorites! thanks for the chance to get you into our lives

  • How you life had changed after you post your videos at youtube?

  • 5 stars!

  • 5 stars, amazing

  • awesome

  • Thats freaking amazing.

  • Very impressive.. you must have a great ear. I always womder when I hear people who play like yourself wiht the bass line, melody and all goign on how they learn the songs in terms of the complexitiy of sounds involved. Do you have a formal music background?

    Again, outstanding playing !

  • i cant play it like you, but i got the idea of playing my own version by watching your great work. thanks

  • Amazing. Brilliant.

  • i can't play it like you, but your great version gave me the idea of how to do a solo guitar version of my own. thank you.

  • Your awesome. You did an amazing job figuring out how to play those songs (saw your Caroline No interpretation too, it was great!) your guitar has a really nice, warm sound aswell, which adds to the overall feeling

  • Excellent.

  • 5 stars, thanks for this video

  • i think this is the best one you have done. amazing, fantastic, brilliant, incredible, 5 stars..... thanks so much for sharing

  • excellent! Thank you

  • excellent! Thank you....

  • Your really talented, I was debating picking up guitar but now after seeing this im definaltey interested, A true inspiration...Thank YOU!!!!!

  • Wobbling Baby, Its not hard to learn by ear if you've got a good ear, which obviously troubleclef has (excellent, really).

I am sure when the beatles wrote this they just played notes, listened and decided it sounded good..no books needed. Keep playing trobleclef...can't wait to hear your next song.

  • The Beatles would have had an orchestrated arrangement written by George Martin, a classically trained musician. Listen to the brass section in the recording clearly not played by the Beatles. Of course the image of inspired musical genius is enhanced if you claim you can't read music, know no theory and just play what's in your head.

  • Hello Tony,

my name is Hagai and i'm one of your big funs. I would like to know what is your guitar model and what kind of mic you are using.

    All The best

  • Can I ask a simple question and get an honest answer (or even a answer ?)

-What Beatle song book do you use as a staring point -- this arrangement looks very similar to the Milton Okum -The Complete Beatles Books

Only difference is you have taken the Intro and Chorus up an octave

Same use of thirds in the intro

Same octave G double up on "find there"

Same B- Bb Bass movement on Bm to F#+

Same Bass movement on the Bm7-Bm6 -- F#+ section I'm just curious where it came from

  • Hi, i didn't get it from anywhere. I just listen to the song and figure out what works best. another guitarist in another place and time might easily have come up with the same solutions, but that doesn't imply "stealing" on either party's part only that the guitar is the guitar and certain things work on it and certain things don't.

that being said, i wonder just how 'same' the two versions really are. I've noticed people saying i copy stuff before when there's really no similarity.

  • I 'm not implying you stole anything

The book is standard piano sheet music -- you would still have to rearrange it for guitar

Musicians use fake books all the time - Hey Segovia rearranged classical pieces for guitar

Nothing sinister about that ,You seem to imply the chords and melody just fell out of the sky -- I might be wrong maybe you have perfect pitch

Good Day sunshine also looks very similar

  • sorry, i'm kinda sensitive in this regard. no offence taken. no perfect pitch here, just a good ear. both of those songs are played in the same key as the original (gmaj for "Got to", emaj for "Good day"). I sit with the original song, figure out what I can and can't do and go from there. thanks.

  • this is really awesome, wonderful job!

  • your really good!

  • Dude, fucking awesome!

  • Nice! Great guitar playing and a red sox hat! What more can you want? I pressed the little Subscribe button at the top. Nicely done!

  • thanks for watching and subscribing.

  • I didn't know Keith Olberman could play the guitar so well.

  • hahahahaha

    He is really good though.

  • Awesome! I notice you have a Sox hat on. I was wondering if you are available for hire? Are you in the Boston area? My family are huge Beatle and Beach Boy fans but, all in all we just appreciate good music. You could play your entire catalog not just our faves. Little private parties, 20 to 30 people, just southeast of Worcester MA. How can I contact you? Thanks, great work.

  • 1:39 - 1:42 is just amazing

  • dude. those are some seriously mad skillz

  • Random unsolicited fact:

Topic of this song according to Paul McCartney: marijuana. It can't be a love song anyway. .. "I was alone."

  • MUITO BOM

  • Absolutely excellent. Your arrangements are always spot on. Wish I could play like that!

  • Simply brilliant...haven't heard anything this beautiful in a very long time and such a fitting band to explore arrangements with. Thank You

  • brilliant phrasing and syncopation. who knew that a lone guitar could make such a difference. but chalk that up to the musician . more troubleclef, more

  • thanks. i'm working on more all the time. just can't seem to finish anything these days.

  • I've listened to this a lot and every time I hear one of your songs, I appreciate something new in your playing. This time around, I've noticed how well you change volume and the breath that it gives to the song. Just a beautiful rendition.

  • thanks so much

  • I'm happy to join your group of admiring fans.

  • happy to have ya. cheers.

  • EVERY SINGLE DAY OF MY LIFE!!!!!

GOT TO GET YOU INTO MY LIFE!!!!!!!!

    Great one again! CHEERS!

  • Look for a Powertab version of this arrangement on Powertabs DOT net...great stuff.

  • Very impressive! You should publish a book of fingerstyle arrangements. What brand of guitar is the steel string? Big warm sound! The sound hole looks bigger than standard. Camera angle maybe? If you travel through Baltimore you'll have an audience!

  • hi, thanks. yeah that's probably just the camera angle. sometimes my hands like humongous too. funny. check make and model on video details of all my videos.

  • awesome job, and the hat adds to the experience. GO RED SOX! '07 WS CHAMPS!

  • and '08 too! woo hoo!

  • Great! This is a fantastic arrangement.

  • thanks

  • Very good played and nice arrangement. Damn I would like the tab on that one, if you ever make it please send it to me :)

  • brilliant, you got soul bruvva

  • Very nice man! but please dont make any more videos wearing a Red Sox Hat..get the NY and i ll watch some more

  • Great job, love this song :)

  • ahaha

    you are great man!

    and so funny

  • amazing.

  • focus! focus!

Just kidding, it is a bit blurry though haha

    Spot on though, sounded great!

  • fantastic man well done

  • Fantastic job!

  • You really do justice to these wonderful songs. Wonderful.

  • It's there in all your songs, it's wonderful, you're sense of feel and choice use of chord inversions and all. You're a guitar player legend.

  • ah, shucks.

  • Jesus F!@#$%!#$%$!! Christ!!!! my favourite song troubleclef! You´re a fuckin genius.

  • Thanks man. You just inspired me.

This is my favourite song too.

Just wondering if you're uned down though since I think I'm a semitone sharp on your tuning.

  • probably. i don't remember, but i do play the guitar tuned down occasionally. no reason. was probably working on something that needed it just before recording this

  • OK I admit it .. with just a tad more studio polish ... NOT VERY much ... I would be very happy to put my money down and buy an album of Beatle Music by you! More than happy. Very nice .... all the songs are, need to add "In My Life" Thank you very much, the only way for Beatle music to survive is for people to PLAY it.

  • thanks! if i ever record something i'll promote it through my channel

  • wow...sooo good...Luv it. Everynote of the song is played on your guitar...:) Sooo good...I still love the beatles.

  • Great version of this song. Some mighty fine pickin' -- 5 stars!

  • wow you are incredible

i love the beatles, and you got this arrangement right on

    kenny

  • You bring new life to the guitar.

  • I clicked on this expecting to be disappointed,

but what a great arrangement for guitar.

I'm a very accomplished player (only stating that

to further compliment you) and this was great to

see. Do some more great beatles stuff like this. At the last part of the second phrase of the main

horn part where it resolves to major, are you

trying to emulate the recording. I think it stays

in the same chord for that whole measure before

    going to that major chord.

  • thanks. check my beatles playlist. cheers. not sure of the part you're referring to

  • wow

I've never seen someone make a guitar sing so beatifully like that. Congratulations for I'm Only Sleeping as well.

    x

  • thanks

  • Wow! Love your playing.

  • more beatles plese. jenny wren, blackbird, day tripper, lady madonna.

  • Bravo! A performance worth a Royal Command! You are definitely a musician's musician! Rock on mate!

  • Amazing!

I seal this with my approval as a very picky beatles fan.

  • great arrengement for a great song! =)

  • wow

    u are the 5th beatle

  • You've done a superb job, absolutely tremendous acoustic ! I love it! (from a Beatle fan since 2/9/640

  • 1964

  • me too. thanks

  • wow I couldn't believe that someone could be so good and make this work on acoustic guitar... Envy!

  • Make that '65. The tix for Paul I bought from a classified ad. $200 per. A bargain in today's market.

  • do you remember how much the tickets in '65 were? just curious. Paul's songs tend to be more simply melodic and hence stand as instrumentals a little better than john's songs.

  • Another great "Revolver" song. You have done more "Paul" songs than John. Any reason for that? Did you ever see them. I saw them in Atlanta circa 1964. I sat on row 5 in front of the stage for Paul 1991. It was freakin' awesome.

  • okay, you got me there;) personally I think it sounds more boring this way but that's just my opinion and I'm not here to tell you what to do so let's just leave it here. keep up the good work;)!

  • musicamusica24: no need to get angry, or become rude, why do you get so upset? come on this is not about who knows most or who's the best player. treble kicks ass, i know, but that's not going to keep me from giving any "constructive criticism (thanks for the nice formulation).

  • i'm cool with constructive comments too. but..actually..if i understand you correctly, you may not be right about this one. On the words "find there" the brass is playing the F major sonority but Paul keeps bouncing along on G in the bass. I do not stay on the g chord, as you said, but play the f parts in the treble and the g in the bass. If you go whole-hog and play a straight F major barre chord there it's really boring sounding (obviously). Is that the part that you thing I error on?

  • I've got my ears and I know what I hear and I was just trying to help treble to improve his arrangement, that's all. Do you really think I am like: wow I'm so much better than him, he knows no shit or whatever. of course not, I even give treble a compliment in my comment, so why don't you cool down and stop taking all this so heavy. hope you understand me better now - nothing to get hung

    about...

  • You are a great guitarist.

  • thank you

  • dude kicking ass man i wish i had one of you at home so i could here the tunes all day

keep on playing them beatles man i love them looking forward to your next tune

  • HA AHA AHA AHA!

  • Great..Great..Great !!..Thank you for playing Beatles melodies !!

  • you're a good player and you got the song almost correct.

1 thing that bothers me quite bad though, is the fact that in the verse you stay in the chord of G major while the song by the beatles goes to F major on the word "find" [there]. the rest is nice, good work;)

  • Verbodpunk, shut the fuck up, like you are quarter as good and know half the shit that treble knows.

  • verbodpunk was just giving some constructive criticism. no need to knock him
