THE Godfathers of hip-hop doing it the way it used to be done, in the park... Nothing like the old school. Today's billion dollar RAP industry owes Bambaataa and Kool Herc. For those who dislike this, go back to your 'Lil' crunk crap and stay there.
Nothing beats a good park jam. People need to bring it back to these type of venues.. to the gymnasiums, to the schools, to the commuinty centers, to the rec rooms, to the parks.. yea..True hip hop!
I'd like to see hip hop move in the direction of this snakeyes track. It uses much more of the musical artistry of the original track and as a result isn't repetitive. The drums sound like live drums as well. I was a fan of Pete Rock's treatment of this break 10 years ago, but this treatment is an immediate classic. Great video. Captured the spirit.
