Manson himself stated that he respects religion, he doesn't respect people that use it for manipulation. To me it's not religion that ought to be blamed but the figures and media surrounding it (you know, those people that are no better than hyped up "spiritual" politicians that use it for fear and control).

My only argument that music does not influence killings & such is that, as an artist, part of your job is sending s message...& that message can easily be misinterpreted. However, it's unfair to flat-out blame him & his message for the ENTIRE tragedy. Parental figures, peers, teachers, TV shows. The list goes on & on. I'm not a fan of his music, but there's no denying that he talks a lot of sense here. Music doesn't influence people to commit murders etc. I think it's all environmental. It's how we value our own lives, and how we perceive the world around us that influences how we react to it. I wouldn't even say it's down to bullying on the Columbine Killers part, it happened simply because of how they perceived the world around them. And people like Manson are easy to blame because they're a bit different.
