Amazing :) I collect antique books and I love to read everything and if that makes me a nerd then I am damn proud to be one! :) One of my customers at the store I work at, told me her little girl thought I was cool because I collected books and love to read. To know that a little girl admires me for that is incredible and that is why I am not ashamed to tell everyone that I love books. Because there will always be someone out there who will hear that and say: Hey, shes just like me :)

Made me think about insults that suck. Like lame. To me, lame means the absence of passion and enthusiasm It means apathy or disinterest in general. Which is the polar opposite of nerdy, if you ask me!

(Please note that my first language is not English, so if I have misinterpreted the word lame, I guess this would make no sense... So sorry, if that's the case, for wasting your time on pointless rambles of the uninformed!)

It looks like my 9 year old daughter is following in her nerdy parents' footsteps. This makes me proud, but it also makes me worry that she's going to suffer in the same ways we did when we were kids.

Things like this, things that celebrate being a nerd, things like youtube that give nerds a place to come together and know they aren't alone, make me very happy.

This was incredibly wonderful. I connected to so much about this, largely of which was the part about how nerds can be sexy. So what if I'm not skinny and I wear glasses? Luckily I was never seriously teased. One thing that happened though, was that a lot of guys in my class made these weird noises at me, but I didn't know what they were. I've only ever competed in high school, so I'm a bit curious. I watched the sources, and I noticed that, besides rearranging the material, you altered by adding a word or phrase. I suppose that's one way that college competitions are different? But, there were also entire segments that weren't in your source material. Were those parts written by you? If so, great job! If not, still, great job!
