Talk about singing from the heart! I wonder how Benny and Björn got all the insperation and Frida and Agnetha can sing and really mean what they sing! Is it something about their lives that I've missed?

Probably it is - things were very hard in post war Sweden in the 50's when they were young. Both Agnetha and Frida were determined to succeed and were singing in bands in their early teens, while Bjorn and Benny have been writing songs together for over 40 years! They were all widely musically experienced before getting together to form Abba, hence the great success of the group!

Yes this was a 'spur of the moment' video Shay, inspired when I found the results from Dani (Learnswedish74) in my email! I thought it would be nicer to reply by video than email, so others could see this fun Abba quiz as well. Did you get caught up in all that flooding in Ireland, or was it in the North only. We had the same deluge this time last year, but it was far worse. I escaped to Malta for a week in case it happened again! One Of Us is leading the fav song vote easily so far.

Hi Alex, I think there are 3 ways to send the results. You can put email addresses at the end of the quiz, if you know them. Or you can use the mouse to copy and paste the results into a youtube message, which quite a few people have done. Or you can select Share below the video, then use the mouse to copy and paste the results into the message window, and send off the results to many friends at once! I think that should work. Thanks Christine, that's interesting because Abba Gold has topped the charts for the second consecutive week over here! And its Abba Gold tracks that are played in the quiz. Yes this song is indeed sad and prophetic. Its all about breaking up, and that's exactly what happened to both couples later on. This song is in the Mamma Mia stage show, but was left out of the movie due to less time being available. That's a pity, as it has a strong impact in the stage show. I did this video also for the fun Abba quiz that can be done via the link in the description.

Hiya Bill, looking at the quiz responses its amazing how similar we are! Son's untidiness and them always leaving everything on when there's no-one present is an annoyance for me too! Its psychic how we all recognise that One Of Us is the stand out Abba song! Yeah I never watched Steve Coogan at all, did not see anything remotely funny about him. Now Abba Gold is back again at the top, and he's disappeared - aha!

Hi Max, its a fun quiz and doesn't take too long as all the answers are short. Sample tracks from Abba Gold get played while you fill it in to help with question 10. Yes Agnetha's delayed whispering plus the brilliant overlayed choruses makes this one of Abba's technically cleverest singing performanes, that no other group could even contemplate! I know what you mean about staying up too late, I was up until 0430 yesterday getting this vid completed. It'll be lie-ins all round this weekend!
