Using your same Line of thinking, why not just turn off the phone totally? You've already turned off just about every other feature, so why not the main power "until you need it, then just flick it back on". Lol
Wouldn't it be easier to get a car charger and a spare for work/travel and just charge it when it's going dead? Then you could actually use it as an iPhone instead of a brick.
Lastly, run to Walmart and see if you can buy a pesonality.....
