I am a former submariner, and it may interest you to know that to double the speed it will require 4 times the power. So for example if you are plugging along at half speed, and you go to full power doubling your speed, it will require four times the energy, killing the battery four times faster.
@1anthonybrowning is this ' formula' roughly true for any shape- type of submarine, from vintage ww2 non-streamlined to modern Russian subs & U.S. subs, assuming the power is available to be unlitmited ?
@TheYabasta Lol example: HEY GUY'S LETS GO FISHING!!! OK ! LAUNCH THE TORPEDO'S OK 'BOOSH:Carp:WHAT THE FUUU BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM:Guys:HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHH lol
It's amazing that the German industry was able to build some 125 Type XXI boats in the waning days of WW II while under daily attacks by the allied airforces.
@buster231000 U-boat is English, U-Boot is German :) Somehow German and English are surprisingly similar e.g. Lamp is English while in German it is Lampe.
@ppplll000999 because you fucking Canadians and americans dont speak english, you speak american. You speak OUR language, the language from ENGLAND. Which is near GERMANY, as England had many visitors from different countries the languages collided causing anglo-saxon and formed old english, and now modern english. then we found america and those thick shits claim to speak english, yet without us, they would all still look like pakis with 10ft feathers up their arse.
@IamMeUareYou I have passed England's University of London Entrance Examine's English with distinction & I also have taken Canada's university level English Literature course, studying works of Chaucer to Shakespeare . Therefore, I strongly believe I am better educated in English than you. Your downfall is your over-stereotyping, because there are a lot of immigrants ( non-North Americans) living in Canada & USA for political , economic or, for whatever reasons :).
@ppplll000999 Well spoken. Personally i will joke around saying that you speak american/canadian not english but thats only like a light hearted joke, IamMeUareYou just displays what is wrong with the world today where 13 year olds (listen to his vids on his page, he doesn't even sound 13) come on youtube just to rage at people as all they see is a screen and don't realise it''s a real person reading it with real feelings.
Also can you try and supply us with info on how to get RC uboats please?
@GGSDavejones My RC conversion is actually rather unorthodox since they are very small size , servo-less, & not completely enclosed in water-tight cylinder. I use toy RC boards & water-proved motors, which cost very little. Obviously, range is rather limited & only suitable for swimming pools, man-made ponds or at the beach when you are already in water. If you want to get into this hobby seriously, you should be ready to spend a few hundred dollars & start by joining a RC submarine club. :)
@ppplll000999 English evolved from German, Vater=Father; Mutter=Mather, und so weiter and so on, but einundzwanzig= one and twenty, at some point numerals are read/pronounce in reverse order. German has the Very important Declination.
@Beskidekk Oh yes, and don't forget that, while a ' boat' is neuter like things ( das Boot), the ' table' is a male (der Tisch) and the ' lamp ' is a woman ( die Lampe). Now, there is no excuse for anybody to refuse learning English saying it is too difficult :)
@buster231000 u-boat or u-boot that depends on what language you are using, a BOOT is German for the English "BOAT". A German submarine was called U-BOOT. Don't pronounce it like "U_BUUUHHHT but rather like U BOOOHHHT. U-BOOT was an acronym for Unterwasserboot or underwaterboat. OK?
we saw the movie the music is from to 2 two times once in german and the second in english. Cool video too!! we use to call the packing glands thrust bearings too. but on this scale a o ring would due we guess hahahahah
How do you get the rear propellers to spin without letting in water? I cannot solve this one. Could anyone help? I did think about some sort of seal, but that would stop the proppellers from turning at all.
@RtasVaduum Apparently you did not research enough. All marine model hobbyist know how to use a ' stuffing box ' of one kind or another. They might be just a tiny compartment with grease or with 2 rubber seals or, best of all with grease & 2 rubber seals. You can even design your own ' stuffing box ' depending on what degree of tightness for secure seal you desire. Of course more secure sealing produces more friction. In this small RC model of mine, I used sealed motors .
Thank you so much, This is the only thing I did not know yet. I even discovered a simpler way to build a dive system. All you have to do is have the holes for the ballist tanks, and provide a sturdy water tight wall from ballost tank to ballist tank. Then close it off, and wah lah, it works. Make sure the wall is directly at the bottum of the ballist tank line.
Now I can finish the I-400, or Sen Toku class submarine aircrft carrier. I checked youtube, and many other places...Nobody has done an rc I-400, and that really is a shame, since the submarine was so wonderful. A true jewel in the Japanese fleet.
@RtasVaduum all ships use such a box, it is really hemp with grease or wax in the old days. U.S.S. INDEPENDENCE Used wax and grease fittings called marlin packing that went into a (box) called a gland hinse packing gland the gland has bolts all around it to tighten the gland pushing the wax/grease filled packing against the shaft. it is not truelly water tight either there is allways water coming in you just pump out the bilges. the place these are is call shaft alley. cool place to work I did
@IamMeUareYou Compliments in any language would smell as sweet. :) I am not German, just happened to have learned some basic German in school, of which I have forgotten 80% unluckily. :(.
Can it dive
