The pot axis moving is a good idea, my theory is a software problem in the servo's chip. I have found out about this design flaw of E-flite servos too. I first replaced DS75 with S75 which solved the problem, but later upgraded to Hitec HS-65MG, probably the best servos in existence fitting in this heli.
YES THEY ARE CRAP- UNFORTUNATELY TAKES PEOPLE TOO MUCH TIME TO FIGURE out thats why they are crashing! toss those e-flite servos and get jr or hitec or futaba and save yourself a lot of greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeif!!!!
The servos and gyro on the blade 400 are exceedingly poor. Very glitchy- I thought the heli was hard to fly, but ground tests reveal poor electronics.
Hi everyone, thanks for the comments and tips. I contacted Model flight and on viewing this video they replaced the servo and all broken parts of the heli (blades, main shaft, feathering shaft).
Servo wasnt stripped, the pot wasnt secured properly and under load was moving and creating anew centre apparently.
Replaced all three cyclic servos with HS65hb's and a Hitec 5000 gyro and tail servo package.
This bug is in DS75, to be precise. The S75 (non-digital) is fine. It is really annoying, but no product is flawless nowadays. At least you can fix it, were it some IC in a television, you could do nothing.
DAMN THOSE S75 SERVOS SUCK!!! I really don't understand why E-Flite makes a nice heli like this and then fills it with crappy electronics. Don't feel too bad, it's not your fault - happened to me too - and everyone else!
I just had mine crash from an uncommanded servo sending it right into the ground at full flight speed!! It was unresponsive to any commands. I am not happy with Eflight. I am suspecting the servos.
Replace servo...preferably with HiTech or JR... the eFlite servo gear replacements are not good either. I have replaced all four of my servos now. eFlite gears strip way too easy. Even without taking a dump
You can physically hear the stripped gears in that servo. I'd replace the front 3 with stronger alternatives and burn through the remaining DS75s on the tail or something. If you get into helicopters this wont be the last time you see this so a spare or two is always good to have on hand.
Hi, Craig here from Melbourne.. you sound like an Aussie too! Looks like 1 x stuffed servo! Annoying that it just decided to die mid flight... and that it caused you to lose control (understandably!) and crash. How old is it? I'd have a chat to the people you bought it off. Has it mangled the servo gears? I crashed my B400 last week and had to replace 3 x servo gears (the same single gear in each servo). Hope they replace the servo for you free. The servos are between $19 - $25. Good luck!
Did you ever get new servos? My aileron servo (the exact one as yours) did the exact same thing... Get Hitec servos

In my comments / reply below I mentioned:
"Servo wasnt stripped, the pot wasnt secured properly and under load was moving and creating a new centre apparently."
There were no broken gears, just a poorly built servo unfortunately.

what's wrong with that?

Two Questions:
- What other servos would you recommend?
- Do all 3 have to be changed at the same time?
Thanks! (Newbie!)

I have not heard alot of good about those Eflite DS75's. Seriously consider changing all 3 servos to something a little more robust.
Good vid explaining your issue!

just replace the servo along with the dog
