lol :D. For quiet a while I didn't know how fun Metroid really was; I had heard of it, but didn't know what it was about. Then one summer I decided to look into it (in 2009). I heard the Prime Trilogy was coming out, and thought for 50.00 bucks, why not. I now own every Metroid game :D. It really is the coolest series ever made :D!

@purplecowadoom Honestly, I was frustrated by Retro changing the design without explanation. It looks awesome, but how do you explain it? Her suit changes into this awesome looking Federation-y design with the extra green highlights and cool visor and then BAM, it changes back for no raisin in Metroid 2. Other M's design would have been nice if they would have just followed Super's design more closely while changing a few things that didn't appear in 2D. Then there might be some pattern.

I was asking why he used her model from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (or maybe Prime 3) instead of her original Metroid Prime model, because they both look very different and her Metroid Prime model is the one that looks more like Super Metroid. Supposedly her Other M appearance is the one that's supposed to be her Super Metroid suit in 3D, but that looks even less like it.

I used the only model I could find lol >_< If I had time to model her from scratch I would have made the Super Metroid standard suit. But I only had a few months to work on it before the album launched, and the focus was creating the world, not Samus

@SamoStudios That makes sense. It's probably her most popular appearance anyway, so I doubt anyone was complaining. The animation was awesome.

@1upD Maybe he used it because it's the best model. The one from Prime 1 and the one from Echoes, Hunters, and Corruption are the same except for the visor, which has a "crest" shape in the sequels. Prime 1 just had a dull, flat visor. The crest shape introduced in Echoes made it look much better. It is THE true model for the Varia and Gravity Suits.

@SuperWunderwaffen The differences are very subtle. The helmet and the lights are different. That version is not always the 'true' model. I don't think it's justified to say that the design in Metroid Prime and Super Metroid is 'non-canon' just because the other suit is ' best'. It's hard to say. Other M seems to assert that it's design was 'canon'. It's really a matter of interpretation, unfortunately. I'd have liked to see more concrete reasons for design changes, however subtle
