It's the illegals and those that hire them that are the root of the problem. The penalty for hiring an illegal should be SEVERE as to help deter the practice. The person that hires them should be fired and face a felony charge with up to 10-25 years in jail. Hell even threaten to close down the entire place of business. If hiring an illegal meant losing a business and/or facing a long stretch in jail with a felony on record you'd be insane to keep doing it! It's extreme but so is the problem.

The fields that used to be picked are now barren with no workers and many of those farmers have gone out of business. I have a friend who owns a farm and he said his best workers were immigrants, but were deported he hired Americans and all of them quit within six hours. Lets face it people do not want to work these kind of jobs, our youth have become spoiled and lazy.

Illegals are the modern day slaves, hired at substandard wages (often harsh conditions, no protection from abusive employers, etc) and then kicked to the curb when no longer needed. Lincoln (a Republican) helped to abolish slavery roughly 145 years ago. Democrats (supporting slavery then & the hiring of illegals now) still don't get it - employ our citizens, who have reasonable protections under laws, at decent wages.

It's the illegals and those that hire them that are the root of the problem. The penalty for hiring an illegal should be SEVERE as to help deter the practice. The person that hires them should be fired and face a felony charge with up to 10-25 years in jail. Hell even threaten to close down the entire place of business. If hiring an illegal meant losing a business and/or facing a long stretch in jail with a felony on record you'd be insane to keep doing it! It's extreme but so is the problem.

@quackinator1 America (And a Coalition of the Fair-Weather Friends) went to Iraq to improve it, but the locals keep blowing up whatever we build. Mexicans (And possibly others) came to America to make THEIR lives better, but by Conservation of Entropy, they're just transferring their problems to America.

@StarrEyes86 I live in Arizona where our laws have scared a lot of immigrants away from working in the fields. The fields that used to be picked are now barren with no workers and many of those farmers have gone out of business. I have a friend who owns a farm and he said his best workers were immigrants, but were deported he hired Americans and all of them quit within six hours. Lets face it people do not want to work these kind of jobs, our youth have become spoiled and lazy.

There should be more laws penalizing businesses that employ illegal people and they should be rounded up and deported back to Mexico.

They want someone that is going to be willing to work everyday with no complaints and just get the job done right, not someone who is going to bitch and moan and be late every day, just to quit a couple days later.Would a bank hire me just on the fact that I need a job even though i have no education or experience with bank?
