Then, explain how such money is able to be balanced between technology in a peace-time, in defense spending in peace time, and in education. Fair enough they use one of the first but really is probably the least impressive, and as far as realism goes i think either of the heavy arms are the most 'realistic' gundam. It's still cool but 01 would've been more impressive because of its looks and design, and zero would be even better because of its wings.

Again though i say gundam zero or 01 because artistically they are the most pleasing, and zeros gun is probably the coolest gundam weapon ever or 01's shield. the originals are still the first but they are the most basic therefore less impressive.

Thus, with no need for defense spending, Japan has more resource to spend on education and tech.
