  • You know, I just realized a rather bitter irony here: Frasier's the one who engineered Niles and Daphne's getting together and rescued them from the wrong people, has saved the romances and marriages of quite a few friends, and yet he himself cannot hold down a girlfriend, and is always alone and unhappy, while Niles and Daphne are blissfully in love all thanks to himself.

  • "Dad, don't be a hero, put down the coconut."

    xD LOL

  • NNNnnnnewdity

  • The moment he said "out of swordfish too?" i knew shit was about to go down xD

  • Kelsey grammer is just the best actor ever!!!!

  • You would never wear khaki's in the Carribean. You would sweat to death. Trust me.

  • @TheCaptainQuantum And Frasier is wearing a jacket, long-sleeved shirt, etc.

  • Oh, Kelsey Grammer is so good at playing a pompous douchebag :-) So funny!

  • DON'T YOU HAVE A DIARY

  • Frasier make me sick. I wish the show was named Niles.

  • WTF, why cant frasier be mad?? i would be effing pissed too!!

  • i freaking love.. jean smart.. she is really good in this.. but i lover her in Desiging Women.. :) :)

  • "Dad don't be a hero, put down the coconut." LOL Niles!

  • Great show! I love how Kelsey is so good at playing a whiny baby. lol.

oh my Lord...people are here griping at each other...over a video. Agree to disagree and quit commenting to each other just because the other doesn't know how to be mature and end the conversation before it gets disrespectful and profane. You don't even know each other personally, so how can you call each other names that apply only to knowledge of someone?

  • Good night for now

  • Poor Claire!

  • On another note, Kelsey Grammar's ability to deliver a line in anger is second only to John Cleese.

I remember a Cheers episode in which John Cleese guest starred as an acquaintance of Frasier's. I think he won an Emmy for it.

  • Lana's name in "Big Crane on Campus" was Lorna Linley.

  • Lana's name was Lorna when Frasier first runs into her in "Big Crane on Campus". WTF??

  • @XxBeJeweledDancerxX They had to change her name because there is a real person by the name Lorna Linley and she didn't want her name used. The character was named after the real woman.

  • @VegetasMistress Would almost be plausible if names were copyrightable. Lorna Linley is no more secure a person's nom de guerre than John Smith. What a sell out.

  • @XxBeJeweledDancerxX It's not about copyright. They wanted to avoid referring to the real person so they changed the character's name, simple as that.

  • @VegetasMistress In my personal opinion, which any self righteous grouch is sure to gnaw at, her name could have just as well been Jane Adams, a common name but noticable enough for bitchy viewers to lose their decentagrating persception of reality over. I guess that's why so many movie stars have fake names: because they are all born with similar labels at birth. Bummer.

  • @VegetasMistress And if that were really the case why did they refer to her as such to begin with? Surely a show with a research budget like Frasier where producers and techies run day and night absorbing past and present culture names, languages, operas, musicians, actors, etc.. would have known about Lorna beforehand. But No.

  • @XxBeJeweledDancerxX The character was loosely based on the real person. They did know about her. Don't believe it? Look it up!

  • @VegetasMistress Again if they knew about her and modeled a character after her... then why change it?????

  • @XxBeJeweledDancerxX Apparently she wasn't happy with the portrayal and made it clear she didn't want them continuing with it. I will not pretend I know why those chose to do it in the first place because I really have no idea.

  • @VegetasMistress Still, names have no copyrights. If mine were to be used to portray a satanic priestess I could not insist that it was me they were refering to: Lana/Lorna was a loud-mouthed realtor/mother of two. This actress was not. If the writers of any sitcom decided to use the name Barry Soetoro to depict a gay bathhouse visiting, wallstreet ass kissing fraud of a politician no one could bully them into changing the name or character because no such person exists=fecetious. LOOK IT UP!!

  • @XxBeJeweledDancerxX I tried to be nice but you are as ignorant as they come. I'm not going to argue with yet another idiot on YouTube. These are the facts. Don't agree with them? TOO FUCKING BAD! Instead of using your computer to type nonsense to me, use it for something productive and try to actually learn something. Look up why they changed it instead of getting pissy with someone who's just answered your question. I'm not going to reply to such a simpleton anymore. Stupid bitch.

  • @VegetasMistress AND there you have it folks, a vicious reply to an nicely worded and honest query. i quess you need your sleep then dont you mistress? If I were you i would make that the last thing you say since you just lost your temper over something so innocent and banal as a chat about character assimilation on a sitcom.. AH HA HA HA!!!

  • @VegetasMistress Non of those terms referred to you but I can see why you took it personally...

  • @VegetasMistress No you didn't try to be nice; you smarted off like a 8th grader going into to this stupid chat and for future reference if you'd just laid off like a good little mistress you would be getting torpedoed for being such tansference laden little skank prowling around picking fights with people smart enough to look it up and still question the producers' missing motives now would you? Go to fucking bed you disease ridden petrie dish.

  • @XxBeJeweledDancerxX I did try to be nice. I could have called you a moron right at the start but I didn't. Stop pretending like you're a victim. All I tried to tell you was the information you wanted and you got an attitude as if I was the one that made the changes to the name. Vent your anger with the producers, not me cause I really don't want to hear it. After all, you're the only one that's mad here, not me. I couldn't care less what an imbecile on YouTube says about me. So good riddance.

  • @VegetasMistress Again, no you did not play nice and when i thought we were having a conversation where I did not deny and in fact looked up and acknowledged the discretion you mentioned you responded ludely and insecurely as though i was claiming you were lying even though i was simply conveying that i thought this was a spineless and bent over move by producers. So good riddance indeed to yet another idiot on parade.

  • I've watched Frasier many many times (just like all of you I bet ;)) and I have to say that Claire (Patricia Clarkson) is the best woman for him. There were so many women that he has dated/met and so many gorgeous ones but she really takes the care for me at least. Claire is smart, sexy and very unique in her appearence, in her amiable character, and even in her southern voice.

Charlotte the Matchmaker (Laura Linney) is also great.

  • i thought claire WAS perfect for frasier.... and was also challenging enough...

  • "public nnnnnnnudity"

Niles is just the best XD

  • @happylittleweevil I loved that part and I could even imagine him and Daphne doing that. When Niles was doing when he was with Daphne was something he never would have done with Maris. With Daphne he didn't have to act or look a certain way, he loved her, she loved him. He didn't have to live up to her standards like he did with Maris. That's why I loved N/D so much, they just belonged together. When they got together, they changed in so many ways. It was wonderful.

  • Frasier was absolutely right: dreadful service. we all should complain. We're actually helping those incompetents and improving their service.

  • "a rather curious grouper" i lold so hard!

  • I don't know why everyone is so down on Frasier. After all, it was an inconsiderate family, poor travel accommodations and an inept resort staff that put a damper on the trip. Then you can blame it on Frasier for going back to his insecure thoughts about Lana.

If Lana could drive then maybe that part of the trip would have been OK.

A resort as classy as that should not run out of anything or they don't know what they are doing and should not be in business.

  • ....connecting tractor ride killed me hahahahahahaha

  • Dad don't be a hero, put down the coconut.

  • Frasier is such an asshole in this episode.

  • Funny were Martin was excited about them having stake.

  • Martin's speech about Daphne was so beautiful. What a loving man he is! :) And I love Daphne in this season... I find that towards the end she changes a bit, but she is very similar here to the "Daphne" in the earlier seasons (in my opinion).

  • @Morty2264 That was one of my favorite parts. It was very sweet what Martin said about Daphne, and I agree with him. I always loved Daphne, even in the later seasons. So she wasn't the same person she was in the beginning, she was no longer a servant but part of the family. She had a backbone and could stand up for herself. She wasn't Daphne Moon physical therapist but rather Daphne Crane, wife to Niles. Her status changed and so did her attitude.

  • wow. frasier is a total shit-bag to the workers at the resort. it's spoiled, rude rich folks like him that make working as a server hell.

  • @shnooglebot:

    Agreed!!!!

  • @SavoyTruffle78 thanks, dude. i was worried some hardcore frasier fan was going to cuss me out for that one!

  • "Frasier's" fish speech is masterfully written and performed.

  • Why do we never see Duke?!

Is he like Maris. The writers prefer to keep her a mystery because her characteristics have been so exaggerated that finding someone to play and look the role would be impossible.

Does the same apply to Duke? Just a theory.

  • @londongirle3 Actually, you do see Duke. Watch the episode "Duke's, We hardly knew ye."

  • @VegetasMistress Oh my really?! I'll watch it now, i'm eager to see what he looks like! :)

  • @londongirle3 yeah i think so. I like that he's invisible. invisible characters are good haha!

  • @londongirle3 They do show Duke in the episode "Duke's We Hardly Knew Ye". He was also in the episode when Martin plays poker with his friends. It is after Roz is pregnant. They are all sitting around the table talking. Even though Duke isn't mentioned by name, he is in the episode. After these two episodes he was talked about but not seen, why I don't know.

  • I love his tantrum at the end

  • LOL @ 0:32-0:34 LOOK AT FRASIER HEAD!

  • What's Frasier doing wearing a jacket in that tropical heat? :P

  • 7:35 - I love it! Frasier slowly slipping into alliterative psychosis, compounded by witty descriptive nuances with regard to the lack of "better than decent" services of the restaurant - classic Frasier moment with his Shakespearian/Mid-Atlantic break down.

  • dad dont be a hero put down that coconut

  • Yeah the survice bad. But on the other hand if he was worried about his health why not take salad instead. Also there is such a thing as being there for people - just saying.

  • "Dont be a hero, put down the coconut"

  • Frasier does have a point with that restauraunt.

  • Too bad Roz can't be there.

  • I'm the same as Frasier. I always complain on vacations and everyone hates it.

  • I'm with Frasier on this one....that resort's service could use some fine-tuning...

  • You know, you should put that on your menu: Home of the DECENT...

  • The way Niles says "nudity" cracks me up.

  • "There's an ocean full of fresh fish not 15ft away but why not try a slab of artery clogging, hormone injected frozen red meat instead!!!! "LMMAAOO!!!!

Frasier's deliverance of that is absolutely hilarious!!!!

  • @Lycheaa - This episode was on tv a few days ago and I had to keep rewinding that scene with my SkyPlus, LOL!!

  • @Lycheaa. This scene looks funnier every time I see it. Frasier is so damn funny. LMAO!!!!

  • Claire is perfect for Frasier. He should have tried sooooo much harder with her!

  • @piraticalaura I agree but if they did get together no one would watch the show anymore. Frasier was doomed to continually go through bad relationships because it's more entertaining (comedy in tragedy).

  • @piraticalaura I was just about to write something similar. Claire was sweet, understanding, cultured... But then, this is yet another example of how Frasier can ruin a perfectly good thing.
