It's not making images smaller that you have to worry about, it's making them larger or making them larger after having shrunk them. Since these images were smart objects, however, you could shrink them, then enlarge them again and not lose image quality.
indesign, bro. =) it'll save you so much time! you can just use the same templates over and over, too. it's amazing.
as a wedding photographer, indesign is a godsend!! haha
