You're great :D Love this song, and you're solo was fakkin crazy haha.
Anyway, I'm a drummer and I'm wondering if you wanna join me and find other musicians on youtube, and put together our videos when we play a song, making it kind of like a bandcover. Check out my covers, and contact me through my channel or this comment if you're interested.
@TareoO hate to break it to you but NO ONE in contemporary metal plays standard tuning (EADGBe). of course, the morpheus droptune would probably help you out. look it up. MORPHEUS DROPTUNE. it downtunes automatically for you
@TareoO honestly, it feels like everybody uses everything but standard tuning nowadays. the reason why its almost nonexistant(hey, there could be one exception) in metal is because in metal the goal is normally to obtain a heavy sound, hence why standard is never used. and yeah, you're correct. drop tunings are really popular so he proably was using a drop tuning
@horusoftheblackflame yeah of course one wants to sound most heavy, but when metal was in the beginning there was much standart tuning and that even remains/remained in thrash metal, which i think is very heavy (though i think you would more talk about heavy stuff like death and black metal)
@TareoO in my own weird way, i was trying to help you out. i assumed you to be the standard modern metal fan, and modern metal very rarely uses standard(unless its a seven string, lol). but you're absolutely correct about the classic metal. thats what i love about it. iron maiden never needed to tune down, and "the sentinel" was just as heavy without downtuning. also, old school metallica never tuned down for 1st 4 albums. if you want, i can reccommend classic metal songs that will help you out.
@horusoftheblackflame thanks, but since i listen to old-school heavy metal myself, i don't need that much recommendmend i think ;)
but i also like the sound, amon amarth for example has. though even bands with growling etc. have sometimes standart tuning: look at ensiferum, they're great with standart tuning
@TareoO funny how you bring amon amarth up cuz i love the sound their guitars make. and you've just turned me towards one helluva kickass band... thank you :) Also, in my initial post i was thinking about saying "most bands" instead of "no one" but i thought it'd make my side of the argument look weak. there are always exceptions and i am now going to go download ensiferum... thank you
Good cover, but try some of your own stuff :)

@horusoftheblackflame well there are some bands playing standart tuning and I've seen this morpheus thing once before.
though i don't know why i saw standart tuning in this vid before. it's clearly a dropped tuning, at least dropped E string
maybe i was drunk...
