  • Hans Zimmer is Immortal

  • best part is at 6:14

  • glad to see someone knows what the main theme is

  • who ever is a transformers fan this song goes with the book exdous

  • Heh... 3:27 to 3:53 is totally the Pirates of the Carribean theme. Dude plagiarized himself. LOL

  • ah... my marching band show :)

  • Now we are free this is the title of the the fragment

  • Gladiator is the best movie soundtrack out there.

  • pls tell me the name of the song at 4:54

  • This makes me want to go to Rome

  • @blackukstay hans zimmer made both gladiator and pirates music so its not really stolen

  • I heard Russel Crowe is gonna play Jor-El in "Man of Steel" 2012

  • Maybe it's just me, but some parts of this sound a little like Mars, Bringer of War.

  • @electric926 I agree, some of it does. Mr. Zimmer freely admits other composers inspire him. I suppose they all cross pollinate to some degree.

  • @electric926 yeah we played in our school band (mars) it does

  • @Irishgirl116655 Me too. Band kids unite!

  • Bit of pirates of the Caribbean at 3.30 but still nae bad:)

  • @1993allende pirates if carribean was taken from glad

  • @1993allende gladiator came out before pirates, but zimmer does seem to recycle similar sounds in some of his music

  • This is my favourite orchestral piece from Hans Zimmer! This track is very moving as it progresses in an emotional way through all the swells and stabs coming back down to calm and ending on Choral. if you follow the music through your own journey you will see what I mean. Forget about the clutches of the mundane and relax with this gorgeous master piece, composed by a genius!

Another one of my favourites is: The Village - The Thin Red Line Soundtrack by Hans Zimmer

  • @wowhorde12 "Now we are free" by Enya

    youtube.com/watch?v=mm-sbOH-nEc

It's one of the songs in Gladiator :P

It's featured in the Gladiator Suite, because a suite is kind of a "general impression" of what the OST should sound like.

  • In the middle somewhere i could hear some Pirates Of The Caribbean

  • @dibistanakurdi You know, listen to this song from Metal Gear Solid 3, called Troops In Gathering

    youtube.com/watch?v=mWH3qkD2Amk

0:27 - 0:35 sound JUST like Pirates Of the Caribbean too :P

  • @Hyshinara OMG yeahh :D wow... he doesnt really change the melody of his songs too much.. wen i listen to any of his songs even if no one tells me its by him. i know that its him..

  • This is great music. And there is a big number of great music in the world, none of them is best, they all are best, each one adding some special flavor to the human legacy. :)

  • Hans Zimmer is simply the BEST movie music writer and.. all that man does. He has made the best music in movies ever!

  • this isnt hans zimmer.

    city of Prague philharmonic orchestra

  • And an orchestra without a composer is good for what? They would just sit around. Music has to be composed before it can be played......this IS Hans Zimmer.

  • thgis isnt hans zimmer's recording I mean.

    he wrote the piece yes.

  • Gee and I was expecting my message was worth at least three curse words and a death threat... ;)

  • Proximo: Win the Crowd, Win your Freedom.

  • sounds so much lik pirates of the carribean and thts why i love it

  • if you listen to the rest of jhon williams music , you will notice they all have a touch from eachother

  • ah, i think i said it a little wrong. i meant that if you listen to johns williams music. not that it was him that made this one. though they have alot in common with hes music

  • pirates copyied it!!!!!!!

  • hans zimmer wrote the themes for pirates. it's not a crime to have a signature move. hans zimmer's is just really really recognizable.

  • @NajotoGyorg Hans Zimmer wrote the music for both movies. He has a very definable signature in music, and its one of the things that identifies music as his. Not a crime, i love his signature

  • @DuncanElliott1700 Oh my bad man. I ddnt know that one~ thought some crazy disney guy stole it. (since when has disney produced a "best picture" haha)

  • @DuncanElliott1700 Not just that, both movies were written by the same team: Hans Zimmer + Klaus Badelt. They wrote a lot of scored together back in the day.

  • @NajotoGyorg It sounds similar of course, but actually, if you read the liner notes, Klaus Badelt wrote a lot of the music for Gladiator. He was working at Hans Zimmer's company (Media Ventures/Remote Control) at the time and co-produced the whole score with Zimmer. So it was not really copying... more like borrowing from himself. ;)

  • @dsettleascii This was done before Pirates.

  • Hey mikt, its odd, your taste in film music is uncannily jus like mine. The Gladiator suite you posted has my favourite parts of the soundtrack in it - so does the Batman one. lol!

  • such beautiful music

  • Beautiful!!

  • absolutly fantastic, one of the best film scores of all time, 5/5

  • absolutely beautiful

  • yea, hans zimmer is the best
