I had played it some few times. It seems interesting game. I´m searching for another game called Santorini that is very interesting too but I can't found nothing in youtube. Somebody knows about some Santorini resources?

I've played the game 2,500+ times (I'm the official #1 fan of the game) and I think you underestimated the depth of the game. In my opinion the game requires the same level of extrapolatory strategy and tactical skill needed to win Chess or XiangQi.

In fact.. the game can afford positions in which the active player is faced with 200+ different options on a single turn.

If you play with the Mosquito expansion.. the level of depth increases exponentially.

Fair call. However some times I find that a lot of the pieces are "locked" in due to not being able to break up the hive into two and therefore you often don't have much choice in what piece you are actually able to move.

@Kerbster76: Well, that's what you're supposed to avoid. You have to be both defensive and aggressive :)

Nice review. Although I am a seemingly much bigger fan of the game.

There's an important rule that's easy to overlook that wasn't mentioned. You may not move any pieces around the Hive until your Queen has been played.

Also, apart from the Grasshopper, which jumps, and the Beetle, which climbs, pieces can only be moved to a place around the Hive where they can actually fit into position.
