@PhishRitzy no, it's just a difference in voice...the girls have a higher voice and tend to sing more...the males have deeper voice and tend to mimic sounds more! I have a male ( pretty sure ) white capped pionus ( check out my videos ) he has a medium voice and mimics sounds, but doesn't sing!
A friend of mine has a Grey African and he is so smart. We would say Sexy daddy and he would whistle, He calls the dog, and then he started making this squeaking noise and figured out it was the door going out to the deck, lol. I so want one, but they are so expensive, lol.
I have always called her a girl (never had a blood test to find out for sure) Her name is Jeda short for Jedadiha. She likes to dance and talk with people she knows somtimes she pretends to call them on the phone its freaky you can tell who she is calling becase she answers herself in that persons voice. But friendly not really while I and a few others can do anything we want with her she runs a tight flock with a well established pecking order. I like Tuki Thanx
