  • boccherini is good, I just wish he would flush out the inner harmonies more

  • Grutzmacher wrote a popular Haydn D cadenza and also did a lot with Boccherini's music. is the cadenza in this Grutzmachers?

  • Muy lindo concierto!!! me encanto! Boccherini es un groso!

  • That painting is a bit weird...apart from the woman carrying a boulder on her head, futher down stream there seems to be a centaur casting a fishing net, but next to him is some kind of mutant ape-man with gibbon-esque arms. Fuck it... i'm stoned... time for bed!

  • Always a pleasure to listen to a piece by Mr. Boccherini.

  • Boccherini and Mozart are my favorite composers of the "Classical Period". I love his symphonies and concertos. I never tire of listening to them.

  • the cadenza theme is Haydn concert main theme .D

  • @photolitherland NOOO! don`t say that name!

  • Most self-appointed critics of music do not have so little as a personal physical definition of "music". My definition of that aspect is: music is--rhythm, melody, harmony, and sometimes, silence; all of which elements seek balance. To the spiritual dimension, add: music recalls--emotions, aspirations, and love; all of which elements also seek balance. Classical composers used these elements intuitively. Boccherini was one.

  • From Boccherini's large work (93 quartets, 123 quintets, 20 symphonies...) only few survived, like this wonderful Concerto in D major G483.

  • what a beautiful paint !!!

  • I like that they use a fortepiano to play the continuo part.

  • Un inseguimento allegro nelle campagne di uccelli e farfalle questa musica porta l'immaginazione alla vita! Ben fatto!

  • Wonderful!!

  • i loved these painting

  • I do love Boccherini and am learning his G Major concerto. I'm also very excited that I get to see this concerto live next week. Thank you for posting this!

  • us this the one that Gruzmacher re arranged

  • @violin233 I believe you're thinking of the B flat major concerto. Friedrich Grützmacher believed the second movement of the B flat was not romantic enough; therefore, he took the second movement of the G major concerto and re-arranged it for the B flat major concerto. :)

  • Musique divine!

    Göttliche Musik!

  • As expected from Boccherini. an excellent cello concerto!

  • sorry, i don´t know english, i don´t know that says exactly, Bocherinni is as good as Mozart

  • I can't believe I've never heard this guys name before. I've listened to several of his pieces and all of them are familiar but I just learned his name. Obviously I've been under an anti-Boccherini rock! Damn rock.

  • One of my favorite Boccherini concertos.

  • he is a real artist! great piece of work.

  • Ophelie Gaillard is a woman. lol

  • Виолончель все-таки самый красивый звучный инструмент!

  • watching the SSO play this piece tomorrow evening.

  • I wonder which painting the picture is...

  • "Landscape with Figures Crossing a River" by Jean-Joseph-Xavier

    Bidauld.

  • @HARMONICO101

    lol..how boring of a name.

  • Bocherini is Mozart

  • Depend of the point of view. I put Mozart as king of operas during the classical period. But he is not the king of instrumental music even if he composed decent music there.

  • it really is a nice treat to listen to classical music. i love cooking while listening to it. simply wonderful.

  • The 1st half of THAT CADENZA IS THE ONE I PLAYED IN HAYDN D!

    ... what the?

  • Hmm. I daresay that there may be a dark classical cello conspiracy going on! lol.

Seriously though, that it is bizarre.

  • @jonathantosio you may have listened to that piece before playing, and unconciously played something similar, listened again, and realized where your ideas came from?

  • Always great to see new uploads, thanks for a great selection! Uploaded some Boccherini myself recently, an unfairly neglected composer.

  • Yes, I feel that alot of composers from the classical era have been severely neglected. There was more to the classical era besides Mozart and Haydn.
