I can safely say that once you see the Frames live, you could never say a wrong word about them again. They are what music in this country should be about. A bloke with some ideas, a guitar and a heap of passion, backed by similar guys that want to help him get his ideas out there. The Frames deserve more credit than all that manufactured rubbish that's out nowadays. It's getting harder and harder for bands to find a stage where they'll be recognised. Anyway! Hope some one can agree!!!
i completely agree- glen hansard's sheer passion for creating music is something that every American musician needs to grasp. there's so much commercial crap out there that music like this is a breath of fresh air amidst a sea of garbage.
It says "comment on this video" you wanna slag me or the vid, feel free, your comment was a personal rant against the band, if you really feel the need to preach your "understanding" of the irish music scene try writing it on the bog walls in whelans, I'm sure you'll find many sympathetic ears.
I am a journalist for hottpress, I've written a thesis on Irish contemporary music and its relationship with the media, I have met Glen Hansard on numerous occassions, I have seen superior Irish bands vanish in the frames shadow.. My 'rant' was about a further promotion of the most famous of all mediocre bands by you, so yes I was slagging you..
And here's to slagging dylanbeckett, who doesn't find hotpress enough of a format to voice his opinion on but feels he needs to bug fans with his opinions on youtube as well..
dylan beckett, you really are an awful gobshite. If you're so superior and sophisticated as you make yourself out to be, why the fuck are you even bothering to go around sprending your shit like a plague? The Frames are a quality band, and deserved success a lot more than other internationally acclaimed Irish acts. You sir, are nothin more than a shithead.
While their sound doesn't bowl me over, I find it quite promising at times. i just can't stand the way Glen sings alot of the time. The 'Look at me, i'm deep.' factor feels quite manufactured and wrong (see black snd white photography on solo album covers for verification) ok thats it

loved the vid! the road really is like that, long and building, and full of heart. the song really captures that *so* well! nicely edited too, the cuts were clean and unnoticable (not jarring). i can tell a lot of time and effort was put in to this vid. nice!
lol, sorry indie, but most of what's going on on the actual audio track is a lot of background noise (bus rattle/souncheck noise) or just plain unbroadcastable to protect the guilty ;) the slo mo live shots are actually culled from the vid of pavement tune I posted in it's entirity
One of my all-time favourite songs!

i love this! the song fits in perfectly and i dont think there would have been any need for the actual audio track!
and why people feel the need to leave comments on videos for bands that they dont even like, i really dont know.
but well done on the video!
