I'm not sure if you Phoenix and area people have heard about it yet, but there's a possibility in the future to have the team play a few "home" games in either Saskatoon or Halifax in an effort to get revenue to keep the team in Phoenix. Also, there's an effort to move the AHL farm team from San Antonio to Thunder Bay, Ontario, although I would prefer to see the Coyotes in Hamilton. Hockey is Canada's game. Give it back to us, eh?

Blacks and Hispanics (and pretty much any minority) are disproportionately poorer than Whites in North American societies and hockey is an expensive sport. Not everyone can equally play in expensive leagues enough to make it to the NHL. The majority of NHLers come from rich(er) families.

Also, Iginla isn't African-American. He was born in Edmonton.

Problem with the Coyotes is that there aren't enough fans. Simple fact. An NHL game in Phoenix draws less than 9,000 fans. an AHL game (the amateur league) in Winnipeg, Manitoba (the city the Coyotes were in when they wer the Jets) draws 17,000 fans! A Hamilton crowd by all indications would be even larger than that. Do the math.
