If you guys are thinking that '87-'92 5.0's were 225 BHP, and in '93 they lowered it to 205 BHP, you're wrong. the truth is, after they first tested the power of the engine in '87, they didn't realy properly test it again until '93. and after '87 the engine underwent a series of detuning changes over its years. starting with the MAF sensor in '89, which helped aftermarket performance, but did loose some stock numbers. when tested properly in '93, they realized a few changes took away some power.

I don't like the little game ford played with the 93 gt. They dropped 25 hp from 92 and released the cobra with 235 hp. I'm pissed off because that's only a 10 hp increase and people like to try and sell you 93 cobras for 16k with 100k miles and no work done!
Well yes, but you know they always play games with power ratings. There was also the piston changeover in 93 as well, but largely the price for a 93 Cobra is rarity and collectible value, not the 10 HP over a previous year spec 5.0.
Do you still have possession of this car, and is it still in good shape? Car was only two years old when this was filmed, now its 16 years old if still around.
