  • even with his spock hair......sometimes Alfalfa hair.

  • "When the wheel offortune broke you fell to me...."

    Nice one paul!!

  • i can hear this song for decades :)

  • Thanks for posting this video. This one was the best of Paul Weller. I believe it reached no! 2 in the charts. In my opinion it should have hit the top no! 1 as it is a classic.

  • I'm only 14 and i love the jam!!! MEGA song

  • love this song. never seen the video before...........takes me back to me youth!!!!!!!

  • i want to go back

  • my favourite jam song

  • i loved the JAM and BAGPUSS funny how they share the same intro.....maybe paul weller was a bagpuss fan too!!!!!

  • one of the best songs ever, could listen to it every day...and i do

  • Inspiration des Babyshambles

  • great track can listen to this over and over again and again !!! :)

  • I'm old enough to have been around for The Jam, I wish you younguns had some good bands like this to listen/look up to. We had The Jam, Madness, you've got JLS and Westlife.......................

  • Brilliant song .Brings back alot of memories of the 80's some bad mostly teenage angst

  • Another Great Track Written By Paul With his tongue Firmly in his Cheek!

He said when They Were Making the video We were Pissing Ourselves at the Idiot Director!

Who treated Them Like Little Children!

Look at Weller Trying not To laugh When the the Plain Jane Girl and her Fringe pulled her hand away!

These were Happy Days Being on The Jam's Twisted Path!

Nothing Paul Done after this Period ever came Close!

And That is Not Meant to be a Negative Barb just the Truth!

  • One my favourite Jam tracks

  • fuckin love it greg from newton heath manchester

  • I Love this song its one of my favourites, Weller outdone himself on his music, it's all truely amazing!! The lyrics are top class, he inspires me so much when i write songs, as does Bruce.

Thats coming from a fourteen year old. I wish i was around when The Jam were together so i could have seen my favourite band Live. :(

  • Wow not enough people know about The Jam.

  • ur kidding? they were/are massive.

  • Im lucky or not to be old enuff to have seen the Jam 2 or 3 times ..they were as brill as they are now ....love to hear the younger mob still love them

  • beautiful track - im canadian btw

  • I love the skinny trousers!! its to bad people who wear them today have them so low they are nearly on their knees

  • I found it. They got another greatest hits album that has a ton of songs and there were 30 second excerpts to listen to. It's ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS!! Awesome tune.

  • Hey, I remember hearing a tune by the Jam a while ago but cannot find it anywhere. It's like my favorite song by them, but it is hard to find because I don't think it's on any greatest hits albums--but I could be wrong. And no, it's not a Town called Malice. Cannot find it and don't know the name. I am sure a big Jam fan can help :)

  • Obviously she went with Bruce because they both share the magnificent gift of Ultimate Hair Volume. Weller is sadly lacking in the sticky-up hair department.

  • lol..yeah as this is 82 bruce obviously invented the mullet !!

  • I'm American and I agree w/ rstewartsince86. Music here is incredibly domestic. So many have no clue what exists outside of crap like Kanye'. Bands from the UK blow away the American crap.

  • YOU TOOK MY WORDS!!! excellent comment!

    cleveland, ohio

  • I was inspired to wear a skinny tie in high school in '85 because of Weller.

  • Another American who loved these blokes when I was in the 8th grade '81-'82.

  • Hey, this American loves the Jam, but you're right - so many great bands go barely noticed in the U.S.: Stone Roses, James, The Jam.....

  • I love weller but damn who told him to dress like rodney trotter! I bet he watches this now and curses 80's fashion.

  • you plonker...

  • Beautiful song, weller wot a legend!!!

  • Prefer the Jams later stuff than their punk days...this is the best of the bunch a classic !!!

  • Totally agree, fuck the americans. There isn't much music you can compare with this!

  • fuck you too

  • What a beautifully tragic song, one of The Jam's best. So underrated in the states, pity. Thanks for posting this jem.
