I always loved Eponine and connected solidly with her. Always feeling inferior to other girls because the guys I have liked in my life have always seen me as just a friend. I have always loved Cossette as well, never really hated her for loving Marius.

Eponine is my favorite character in Les Miserables!!! So many girls can identify with her story, and almost make it their own because we've all seen a guy we love fall in love with some other girl. </3 I'm going to be her in a concert production of Les Miserables soon (if the Deacons of my church approve it), and I'm basing my costume off of shoujo cosette!!!

i know ive already commented but......

I think the the only way to really understand how Eponine Feels when you love someone and they love someone else, and the thing is that you know that their perfect for each other, and you know no matter how much you love said person, you could never be that. and you love them so much that to see how happy they are and even if he's not happy with you, he's happy, so your happy. i hope one day i can love someone the way Eponine Loved Marius.

I love the character of Eponine, cuz I can feel for her in my own life. I love my best friend, but he loves someone else, who adores him. I first saw this when I was little and I wrote a note to my mom saying that when I die, have this guy friend come to my deathbed and kiss me goodbye. I was a wierd child.

When I sang this song in contest, I thought about him...like what will happened after high school? Will I never see him again? Will he so happy that I will never get the chance to see it or engage it with him? I wish I can go everywhere with him.

@jessbrown97 Omg!! I had that too for prom! It was the senior song and we all danced in a circle. Later on I had the urge to dance out in the middle, so I did then he danced with me. It was sooo sweet yet cruel!!! He held my hand, took my waist, and twirled me about! Everyone was cheering and everything was perfect! Then on monday after turned out the worst. He did not talk to me, it bothered me so much that I fainted after class. I was told he stayed by me when I fell. What is going on? IDK!!

You know what I hate about Marius? The fact that after Eponine sings "A Little Fall of Rain" and dies, Marius just goes and sings "I wonder if Cosette will miss me if I die." Honestly, did you already forget that Eponine, your best friend, just died?? Are you THAT heartless???

I really feel for Eponine. Her story is even more heartbreaking in the broadway production and in the book. I know how it feels to watch the one you love fall in love with another. And the fact that she still helps Marius court Cosette breaks my heart. :(

First off- this very nearly reduced me to tears. Second: I have heard a version of Francis Rufelle singing "On My Own", but it was NOTHING like her singing it here. I don't know where you got this one, but it is ten times better than the one I have on my iPod. Still love her, of course, but this one had more feeling to it. Thank you!
