Oh oh oh oh oh oh ooooooooooooooh my lawd!!! I used luuuuuuuuuuuurv this song. Holler at me if you still think this is the best and still get down on it!!! Thank you @cksaga !!! :-)
I wish i could have experienced this era. I was born unfortunately a little to late. Back when Deee-Lite was doin' there thing and the scene was truly underground.
Tich Mataz's class can not be described in words. He should be buried at the heroes acre. Does anybody know where the brother is. We need to honour him
i love this cut, and it seems to me it was IGNORED when it came out, with the exception of Tony Humphries, i never heard another dj play it... shameful.
Haven't heard this since the 90's. Still sounds smooth too. I miss you, my best friend. He was a stone cold house music lover and treated me as good as my father did. Love and miss you, Boots!!
@bissia hm ... needed to listen to it again, my record player needs a fix :). But you might be right, the beginning could be added or slightly modified, prolonged or whatever. The song later sounds exactly the same as the LP-Version - here I am fairly sure. I'll let you know as soon as I got a new or repaired record player, if noone else helps you out with the info that is ...
Definately big props to Tich Mataz. I remember those morning drives to school listening to this tune on drive time (the few times he ever did it) on Radio 3 Zimbabwe. Byron Stingley merged with Inner City: house legends. Mad tune.
O! MY!!..............TEARS!!!!!!!! Could music have been so good back then. I don't think I've heard this one ever. But what a joy. This is it. Classic. Thanks for uploading this one man.
ive loved inner city since i was 5 years old. i remember my mum dropping me with the baby sitter and on the way there the old skool tunes would be banging out. back then these tunes were new! must have been '89
DUDE I've been digging this for almost 16 YEARS! Literally! Ever since I heard this on the latenight radio play already knowing about Kevin Saunderson/Derrick Maye and others in the game when I was 16 NOBODY had this! THANK YOU cksaga for hosting this!
Just having Byron Stingly as backing vocals... One of the best tracks on one of the best albums ever made.

I LOVE this track.
I have it still on vinyl (remember those?!)
It was part of a 2 x special edition gatefold vinyl pack.
I only wish someone would upload the very hard to find B side side.
If it wasn't for t'internet, I don't think these tracks would survive like they do.
LONG live vinyl, and long live classic tunes from back in the day.
That is all :)

Biggazz to Tich Mataz. Do you remember his go go times show.
Mushambi 2 years ago
it's only Chicago house because of Byron Stingily yet Inner City is from Detroit albeit Techno.
cloakanddagger31 2 years ago
Byron I meant. LOL.
datnyugga 2 years ago
It's the brother from TEN CITY doing the backing ad-libs, Brian Stingily.

djdavepinlondon 3 years ago
Dude this sounds SO MUCH like Byron, and he's been singing since then in at least 2 troups back then so its possible!
Jaggabone 3 years ago
Actually you are right vocals ARE Byron Stingley in the background! TenCity helped form InnerCity. Kevin Saunderson is among The Belleville Three!!
