This guy made everything he did so look so effortlessly he was truly a great performer and artist. No one like him since and probably never will be. There was only one Dino! He will be greatly missed.
There is no comparision between Dean and Frank. Dean outshoned him in looks and sang much better. Dean was so sexy. I saw him live in Vegas in 1975 and he was georgous and his concert was great. By the way he drank apple juice, not booze when he was performing.....
@sarahnadesarah What Sinatra version are you comparing this too? Something from Sinatra way back when in 1954? Set up in a recording studio? Or dubbed for a movie? This is Dean, pretty much live, recorded for his TV show. Its not a recording session at Capitol or Reprise!
@JayH7745 Although I prefer anything Sinatra sings over Dean Martin and always will, I'm not comparing this to a recording at all. Search for 'Young at Heart' by Sinatra, there's a lovely live version.
@sarahnadesarah Sinatra was good but give me Dino any day. Sorry. I love seeing them together, they were a great team. It's just a matter of taste. We were all so lucky to have them both.
Fairy tales can come true, it can happen to you If youre young at heart For its hard, you will find, to be narrow of mind If youre young at heart You can go to extremes with impossible schemes You can laugh when your dreams fall apart at the seams And life gets more exciting with each passing day And love is either in your heart or on its way Dont you know that its worth every treasure on earth To be young at heart For as rich as you are its much better by far To be young at heart
The Prince (Sinatra was of course the King) but Deano was fantastic. Reminds me of the great days. Hollywood, Monte Carlo, Cricklewood. Oh yes, those were the days. And here is the best part...
He would always appear to be drunk but it was all an act!! He was a wonderful talent and totally unique. There'll never be another Dino! He reminds me of my dad, as well, LOL!
you could tell as dino is about to finish this beautiful song he got a little emotional, perhaps thinking about his youth or maybe in the hopes many of us get the message in this song. I got it. thanks dino you will always be the best
Whatsamatter you haters think a guy cant play drunk n convince people for any length of time, well do yor homework. He was a family man. He realy didnt even run with the rest of the Rat Pak after the gigs.He went rite home to his wife n kids.Pretend U kno about someone else, not this AMERICAN ICON !!!
a Decade with Jerry, Las Vegas, a Decade of TV shows... HIS shows, a member of the Rat Pack who by the way drank as well, a great singer with many hits, an actor, a comedian... didn't know drunks were this busy. Then again some people are easy to fool.
I don't understand some people! It is very well known that Dean's glass was filled with APPLE JUICE! AND....its also against FCC regulations to be drunk on the air! THEN AND NOW! DUH? Dean was NOT a drunk! It was a STAGE ACT! In Las Vegas and on his TV SHOW! READ THE BOOKS about Dean! OK? :) Greg Garrison and Jerry Lewis both tell how Dean was NOT A DRUNK!!!!!!!! THE DRUNK "ACT" MADE HIM EVEN MORE FAMOUS!
Shut up you twat...i think you need to read the book again, and also pay close attention to what it says.....(enter the squinny) its in the book waaa!!! he said it is in the book.waaa!!!look in the book..(throw toys out of pram)
What can we say about Dino? He's his own man and does things the way he likes and performs like the champ he is. No stopping him!! This is a great song and no one could have performed it better!
Wow. Dood! Where did you get these? Awesome! Brilliant!
Dino was THE man! One of my biggest regrets in life is not having seen him perform live. Man that must have been a blast! Thanks for the vid.. post more please!
Watch closely his expression and delivery. He had a reputation for being easy-going and not taking his lyrics all that seriously. Not this time! He starts off with a laugh and then watch his eyes. They say it all.
Guys please, nobody cares how old you are. Just stop. Please, Im begging here.

Elaborate ruse that still fools people to this day. What he was actually drinking was fruit juice, or water.
