All these 2D 3D conversions are a sort of fake - a 2D image simply doesn't have the information in it to a 3D space. So a programm somehow needs to guess whats in the front and whats in the back in the 2D picture. I can understand it might be possible in the picture of the "watereye" but i am lost by the astrronomical pictures.
How would you be able to tell a fake 3D from 3D created in post? Are there any distinct differences to look for?
