we have so many slurs in our vocabulary. As a femme gay male, I have had to put myself in check often cuz "b!tch" and "sIut" come out of my mouth more often than I would like.
As a community, we condone many slurs: f@ggot, tr@nny, dyk3, etc. And yes, it can be empowering to take back the word, However, it's empowering only when the person that it is used against takes it back. As cis queers, we should NEVER call anyone a tr@nny. As queer men, we should NEVER call anyone a dyk3. It's oppressive
