Weight cutting does make your ability to take a shot worse because you lose fluids and your brain bounces against your skull more. A lot of people fight better at bigger weight classes due to that.

@michaeljacksonisnotd Naaah, they both do too much strength and weights. They should do more cardio and drop some weight. But still, Over is more experienced and fights a lot, which is still cardio, whereas Brock lifts weights and is too heavy. Mar my word if both of these guys drop 10 lbs they'll be much better.

Oh my god. I guess I better say something. What we have here is simply a striker vs. a unstriker. Plain and simple. And, both fighters rely heavily on weight lefting. How can Overeem be the best striker out there when "the only things overrem does for training is weights..."? Brock was handled like a little kid by Cain. Know what? Overeem is a way better striker and even more powerful. I'll get back to you after the fight. We'll see who's the blind fan. Peace.

@freddie18100 the reason is because UFC is a brand, not the sport. UFC will not talk about guys fighting overseas unless they are bringing them to fight to the UFC. If you investigate a little bit about this nobody, he is the only MMA fighter who has won a K1 World Grand Prix (combination between muay thai and kickboxing) and an MMA title at the same time. and not only that, he is also European champion at ADCC so he has fairly decent grappling. Lesnar turns to be the nobody next to him though

Strikeforce Fighters posed no challenge to Overreem, you can only be called a great if you've faught people who are at least on the same level or better, in his last 10 fights he's had 3 people who could have challenged him, Rogers, Cro Cop(NC) Werdum, all of which lost. Chuck, Rua, Little Nog and Kharitonov have beaten him, all elites which is what he needs, UFC have JDS, Brock, Carwin, Mir, Big Nog and Herring before he should be considered for a shot. If you ever watched his K-1 fights you would notice that he let's his opponents hit him, and from there he looks for opening while he's blocking and then with a power shot.
