This has to be one of my favorite videos ever, the rant is definitely something you should do more often. some of it just had be rolling on the ground and you totally hit the nail on the head with Buyers satisfaction, i'm going to pick up those damn books right now and get into it. Thank you.
There seems to be a distinct correlation between the catchiness of the books title and how ineffective it is. Anything that says "easy" or "in 10 minutes" or "in 1 month" or "fun" or that makes the language sound easy... And anything extremely expensive tends to be about as effective as these crap books that you can learn from but that teach in incredibly ineffective and uninteresting ways. If you buy any Japanese books the big English-teaching giants (Ask, Alk etc.) also publish crap.

i, i really like your lessons, very helpfull for pronouncing kinese, but if you could it would be good if you could get a better mic, i gotta almost max the volume to hear. Hope you aren't alergic to criticism.
I seriously think this is the best video of yours I've seen until now. The fact that you moved around reminded me of myself (I've got ADHD) speaking and thus it was easy to relate to the topic of the video. Please post more videos whilst "out of it" ;)
Thanks,
Jonne
ps. I'm seriously looking forward to learning Putonghua/Chinese, could you possibly recommend a good way/book for a beginner? I know about TY etc but since you're in Taiwan I thought you might have better resources. Thanks.
