I have a female bristlenose...and she'll take the algae wafer out of my hand, and head back into her rock. No one believes me when I tell them this....
@MiguelFaunos really ours is 16 inches long in a 30 gallon with four big goldfish and all are 6 years old funny how they seem to be doing great and growing bigger all the time
I have a big pleco in my tank, and he just started doing that too, eating from the top of the water, I like to drop food right in his mouth, it is fun, he doesn't seem to like the wafers either, but flakes, dried and frozen blood worms, he eats them. Good vid, thanks
The only thing that he likes to eat are fish flakes, blood worms and sometimes wafers. He is very picky and will not eat veggies at all. Ive tried many times but no go.
@angelgtshrwings Thanks for replying, I've recently bought a baby plec who is currently 2-3 inches, on a quest to get him to a good size. I've heard that the biggest cause of death in plecs is starvation as so many people wrongly think that they can live off glass algae alone. How about water changes, I do about 20% every week???
@angelgtshrwings Along the lines of your vid. description, my pleco will scale the top of the water like they do to the glass... Pleco's are very unique fish...
@angelgtshrwings I wouldn't really want to bring this up, but that may be the reason he died. In the video, his tummy looks very bloated, probably from ingesting all of the air and that he's eating fishflakes instead of veggies. Plecostomi need a good source of fiber to maintain a healthy digestion, so veggies and algae wafers (I guess) provide them with the fiber they need. if they do not get very much fiber, then their stomachs can bloat and they will pass. But I'm very sorry about Ed. :(

my leopard plec takes cichlid pellets from the top like that then he floats all the way down to the gravel n lays on his back while eating his pellets
I know my dad use to breed angelfish. There is just something about fish. lol I just dont know,.. I remember when mom and dad had a black and white tv. and they used to put a screen on the front of it to give it color lol now that was amazing. But as for the old part, my god you look great, what the heck are you talking about.... And ty for sharing your amazing work and all you do. Your an insperation...
When I was a kid, and from the time we lived in Guam in the Navy, my dad always had tropical fish, no matter where we lived. I sat and looked at them for hours. Then we got our first black and white tv.. with a 3 inch screen... lol... yeah I'm old. This video brought back memories. Thank you

They were both about 4 to 41/2 inches long when I got them. Big Ed I have now for about 2 years and Little Ed around 6 months..
