the string snapped on ours! you could see it for about an hour and must have got to about 20,000ft LOL. It would take about 150+ of these bad boys to lift you off the ground.

I got mine in UK, in the science museum, so it was pretty damn expensive - 15 pounds is kinda a lot for a long garbage bag, heh.
But there is a lot of fun with it. Too bad I didn't film the part when it flew over six neighbours' houses and then crashed to the fence and broken into several parts. That accident reminded me of Hindenburg airship, heh :P

What does it cost? Pretty affordable, if I recall. With minimal modifications, I could see that thing serving as an excellent starting point upon which to build The Mother of All UFO or Cryptozoology Hoaxes!

Bigass balloon specs: 8 metres long, 12 micron thin material ( Thats thinner than human hair!). It isn't very powerfull I must add. It can lift itself, but that's it. However I've been thinking about filling it with helium in stead of hot air, I think that will make some difference. I thinks it's about 6 or seven dollar. But that's without shipping

Whoa-- I saw the title of this movie and worried that "eight-meter-long uberballoon" might be the most frakked-up euphemism ever for the word "penis." That would have made for an altogether different kind of video.
