is there a possibilyty to fit BMP-2 with reactive armour ? also on skirts. (Yes I know, the BMP would loose it swim abbility, but in Afghanistan it is useless)
I must say that in my research and findings, the BMP-2 is a better vehicle then a BMP-3. This come less from effectiveness in combat then from cost and cost efficiency to effectiveness ratio. The BMP-2 is more effective for the price then the BMP-3.
Its got armour all over and weapons, tank tracks, cannon, mg, trench crossing ability. Time you read a boob on the history of tanks before you claim tanks are not tanks.
It is a tank its a type of tank called an IFV. Just cos its thin armour and carries troops doesnt mean its not a tank the first tanks ever used were only just abple to stop bullets at long range.
They may be borth tracked AFV's, but tanks (MBT) and infantry combat vehicles (IFV) are different, classed different and, depending on your weapon, will require different types of ammunition to destroy.
Saying they are both the same can cost you your life.
This is a good alternative to those who cannot adopt the BMP-3 /BMP-3M right away. There's also an upgrade package for the BRDM and BTR-60 from 'Muromteplovoz' corp. Thanks for posting this vid.
this thing is good, it's basically a became as a light tank, i wish though they would "hide" those Kornets in some kind of "cover". From watchin video and listening I can say this BMP has most vepon systems as a tank, short of a bigger gun though. This weaponry and a platform would be an olmost a perfect for combination for specnaz or other fast reaction forse.

M2A2 Crew: 3 & 6 Troops
BMP-2M can go in the water & ground
M2A2 can go in the ground only
BMP-2M 6x 7.62x51 PKT for the Troops while they are in they can shoot

@Dollar1998 Yes, there is. I'm not sure if Russia offers it. It's not a big deal to fit it with an APS, either.
