Ok so can someone explain or maybe I missed it,the first arriving pieces were ladders and it looks like the engines were blocked access . Dont they leave access for an engine?

I don't know what really happened... I just saw the smoke and was amazed at the lot of trucks... had a great first day in Chicago! ;)

this looks like a high rise reponse, if they get a call of a fire in a high rise, right away they send 4 engines 3 trucks 3chiefs and a squad

It looks like a still and box alarm. I only saw two trucks so it was probably an unconfirmed fire. The next step would be a high rise still alarm.
