  • Those are too pretty to eat IMO :-).

  • wow very nice indeed

  • @TheBoldman1 Thanks for commenting :)

  • I hope you have a video while making the decoration

  • These are fantastic!!!! You could use gum paste for the bows, they would hold their shape. Also I buy Satin Ice fondant in the US. It is fantastic. :)

  • Do you frost the cake before the fondant or can you apply fondant to a bare cake?

  • @moonncat Fondant needs something to help it adhere to the cake - I use ganache nowadays, and once this has set, you can either brush the ganache with sugar syrup or be lazy like me and lightly brush it with cooled boiled water before applying the fondant. Other people use buttercream under the fondant.

  • why does my fondant tends to get so much bright after I apply it?

  • @pinkceladas Sorry for the long delay in replying. The colour of fondant gets more intense after colouring when it sits for a while, so if you're finding that your fondant is consistently not the colour you're after, it would be worth leaving it overnight after colouring. The next day you can check it, and add more white fondant if the colour is too intense.

  • Talk up !!!!!!!!

  • how did you make your fondant? if you dont mind, can you email me your recipe for your fondant?

  • @mikkimtz1 I actually buy my fondant (Bakel's white pettinice) as I don't have time to make my own, and it's really hard to get plain white marshmallows in bulk in Australia. If you search 'Mayen marshmallow fondant' on YouTube you'll find a great video, and also fabulous cakes on her channel (she's the reason I joined YouTube in the first place)

  • @15152278 so hows your weather in Autralia this time of year?

  • @mikkimtz1 Cool but getting warmer - spring is in the air :)

  • they are sooo adorable.

  • @mikkimtz1 Thanks :)

  • @15152278 no problem. just telling the truth. they look so pretty, too good to eat!

  • these are GORGEOUS!!!! can u plz make a tutorial about how to make them?! especially the ribbon part and how u made it look perfect!! seriously, good job!!! ^_^

  • @DongBangJuniorfreak Thanks for your comment :) Unfortunately I am rather time poor as we had our 3rd baby 3 months ago so I can't make any tutorials at the moment- maybe at a later date when things get a bit more under control!

  • @15152278 - congratz on the 3rd baby :D adorable mini cakes too ^^

  • @ZombieG0reWhxre Thanks for both :)

  • how do you make those mini ribbons ?

  • @InternalCry Roll the fondant out thinly and use a ruler as a guide to cut into strips. I used a stamp roller to make the pattern on the green fondant. To make a fondant bow - check out tonedna1's video on fondant bows.

  • These are adorable~~ I've made petit fours before but they were really messy since I didn't really know what I was doing with the frosting stage cause i tried pouring chocolate ganache on them when it was not the right consistency. (they were delicious anyway hah hah). I had a blueberry-lemon layer with a raspberry cake. I saw a diff. vid where someone used spoonfuls of lukewarm fondant to cover the cakes but I don't know how well that would cover non-white cakes...what did you do?

  • @Salinea Sorry for the delay in replying. I used rolled fondant, not poured fondant. It's very versatile -check out my other videos to see what sorts of things you can make out of fondant. It's very addictive!

  • where did u buy your molder for those sizes?

  • Did you mean the mini cake size? I used a 9 inch square pan and cut the cake into 9 mini cakes (3inches in diameter each)

  • SOOO CUTE!!!!

  • aww adorable

  • they are soooooooooooo cute!!!!!!! well done!!!!

  • Thanks, glad you liked them!

  • How long does it take to make decorate 1 mini cake?

  • For one mini cake, I would estimate it would take maybe 20-30min to cover in fondant and decorate, if the fondant had been coloured beforehand.

  • I don't think that the cakes are fake........ Although it takes a person with the patience of "Job" to do that sort of thing. They are lovely.

  • Thanks for your comment :)

  • the cake looks fake

  • OMFG that looks like marshmallows i would love to swallow them!

  • These look really cool, great idea for giving individual gifts without having to bake a whole bunch of separate cakes!

  • omfg cool

  • wat kind of cake do u used

  • chocolate cake

  • Comment removed

  • what size pans did you use for these? and where did you get the pans from?

  • I used a 9 inch square pan, and cut the cake into 9 square mini cakes, but more recently I have bought a 6 inch square pan which gives me 4 mini cakes 3inches in diameter. I bought this from a cake decorating store (I'm from Australia).

  • Which cake decorating store as I am also in Aus.

  • if you google cakedeco you'll find their website - great store

  • Wow, these are amazing.

  • the chocolate fondant with the green looks amazing. It looks very classy.

  • Hi, thanks for your comment. Yes, I did add tylose to the fondant, otherwise they would not hold their shape (the bows did need support for a while - I used scrunched up clingwrap which is not ideal but did the job)

  • Hello - these are fantastic - when you made the fondant bows, did you add tylose??

  • Thanks:) I'd love to show how to do them. They're really quite simple to make. Unfortunately I don't have anyone to make them for at the moment, but when I do, I'll try to do a video (I'm a bit limited with time as I have 2 little ones and record my videos at night).

  • i love this :) my hands shake when covering small cakes. i like how careful you were in covering them and decorating them with perfect bows :) keep making more.
