  • This was SUCH a helpful video! I got my school project done because of this video! Thank you thank you thank you!

  • @Valkyriegrl Hurray!! Glad I could help! :)

  • Great how-to video! Your instructions, combined with your video skills are wonderful. I have 2 questions ... First, what type of thread are you using? Is it the thin crochet thread? Lastly, will you be making a video on how you make your covers?? Thank you so much!

  • wait wait wait, how many pieces of paper were in each "signature", or "stack"", it looks like more than one, but I saw another vid that used one paper for each signature?

  • I just finished making mine and it looks great. It'll be a great present for a friend :) Is there a way to give it a spine though?

  • this is great! I'm definitely going to try this! but do you know any other ways to make books that you can show us?

  • @ACgirl2894 I do know another way, which gives them the closed spine (like on a few of the books in the background of this video). It involves a lot more glue and time though!! And some special equipment! I don't know how to do it with just the coptic style stitching :(

  • oh one question...maybe quite a silly one but how do you make sure that all papers are even when you fold them in half cause you know, you will have this extra bits coming out when you have like 7 or more papers folded together...

  • oh finally, something that I can easily understand.thanks heaps dear

  • excellent!!! :D thanks a mil! and btw, i do alot of leatherwork and the leather stitching often uses waxed string, great stuff love it for all projects. u can find the wax string in the leather section at a hobby lobby or michael's...or i guess any hobby store and of course leather craft store...great method, thanks for sharing!!!

  • After watching every single video on Youtube I FINALLY completely understand the coptic binding system. I think its definitely your absolutely wonderful photography. The close-ups you show were amazing! Couldn't have been more explanatory! I said to myself..."well, hello...even the beautiful cat could do this!" Thanks...gotta go make another book!!! oldriverroad

  • Hey there! Did you end up making a video demonstrating how to prep the covers and pages? If so, I would love to watch it. I'm trying to do a coptic bound book for a final project in one of my classes, and could use all the help I can get!

  • @BringMeToLife93 i would love that as well to find out how to make the front and back cover"

  • @BringMeToLife93 I'm so sorry for the delay! I am hoping to do a tutorial of the and pages as well. I haven't gotten around to it :( Thank you for asking though. I will definitely try to get one up in the next 2 weeks, before I start getting busy with school again too! :)
