just so this is clear. Having guitar solos does NOT make you more musically talented. Yeah I play guitar and I love hearing new solos, but it doesn't make you more musically talented than someone who doesn't have them. It's how you piece the music together and play it out. Three Days Grace does an awesome job of making music. Look at Chevelle. They do a great job making music and are very talented, but not many of their songs have solos (tough with one guitarist but they do it sometimes).

This isn't A7X, Judas Priest or Metallica. It's 3DG and it's their music. They aren't trying to be those bands. They are drawing a different crowd and expressing their emotions/thoughts to everyone in a different way. I personally like how they do it more than other bands.

Every song sounds EXACTLY the same just like every other song on all their other cd's just about. They let me down so much. Its like listening to the same song on repeat almost.

Breakin Benjamin sound maybe different but all the songs on the cd has the same repetitive sound through out the same cd.

Sure 3DG only turned out a good "couple songs". If by good you mean songs that would be played out on the radio 24/7 till they were annoying. At least 8 of the songs on their CD were amazing. And calling it an "experiment" is silly. They wrote about what they know and their actual tone stayed the same.

dear agony was amazing by any standards they didn't improve their music like three days grace did but three days grace is too main stream and has no solos and stuff like in one x the song bitter taste is a great representation of their talent that i knew they had but breaking benjamin has always had more musical talent than three days grace i think breaking benjamin improved greatly on their screams though

Personally I like this album. It has songs that relate to how my life is going as of late. One-X has some great songs too. The only thing that bothers me though, but not that much since it's the intro, is that the beginning of The Good Life from Life Starts Now always reminds me of Riot from One-X.

The begining of "The Good Life" i can understand. I actually really dig that sound, a bit harder, towards the metal side. This album was really awesome but didn't nearly have as much of it as One-X. But yeah, you're right about the Good Life- Riot connection.
