one time i went to a league cup game, biscan was warming up, and some lads on the kop started shouting IIIGGGGOOOORRRR, IIIGGGOOOORRR, almost ironically (for a joke) then rafa (i think) put him on and everyone was going "oh shit" haha, he put in some great performances in that 2004-05 season though and we may not have got to the final without him. ynwa igor

biscan was very good defensive midfielder and average defender...i remember when he was young at dinamo zagreb, coach ardilles put him few games as a striker :))) he maybe not have all technique skills but he is a soldier from croatia and good example to youngsters in croatia ! if you dont know....he is still playing for his love dinamo zagreb, he has bad injury and everyone send him in retirement...but igor is coming back for 2-3 weeks and keep playing ! bravo kapetane !!!

I agree that he was underrated, Houlier almost never played him and when he put him in it was as a defender and not as a defensive midfielder. Still he showed how good he was under Benitez in that CL run.
