yer the locations is a key to finding fish and catching fish.....for perch i find margins and over hanging trees a key perch location.....just got to look now

yer i know it will come i have been thinking of my metods alot........normaly its just a float fished lob but im thinking maybe cade feeder with dead and live maggots with worm hookbait..........

@FOOTBALLisMYpurelife if your going to feeder fish for them i would make you setup as resitance free as posible so a running feeder with a supper light feeder tip should be ok but i find just a float fished lob or a bunch of red maggots fished in the margins have always done well for me its just getting a stretch that has the big perch in

i love this blog its really well done i know......i fish rivers and when you have fished the whole day and had noting when you have put so much effort it for me pretty annoying but that's fishing.....i do alot of chub and perch fishing down my local river.....never really had a whooper perch but im hoping some day i will one!!!!1

That spot is usual very clear.

I dumped 8 kilo of scopex squid in down there a little while back and never got the time to fish it :(

@craftycarper i no it was weird about the weed problem i have never had the promblem before on that bit a bit wierd really u must of been gutted i prob be back on this stretch in the summer or spring not sure yet

I might have a go there soon when everything thaws out. Last year I lost a big koi while chub fishing down there.

@craftycarper i have seen the koi in the backstream down there it looks a decent fish thats the fish i have been after for a couple of years seen it many a time let me no if you have it mate

fishing for 1 day on a river an not catching is not hard work, i have fished waters for months an not caught, my pb took me over 300 nights to catch with only a hand full of upper doubles whilst trying. you need to find a bait you trust and a rig you have faith in and just stick it out. do you do nights?

ye mate i no it aint hard work as this was nearly years ago i no alot more now than i new then yh i do do nights this year was hard work i would say for me i fish twice a week from last october till now after a 30 common out of a local syndicate on a day only water and i managed a 24 common 4 upper doubles having to deal with wading through 100's of stockies eating all your bait well it felt hard work but that sounds hard work 300 nights! anyway did you get your pb in the end mate thanks

yep i did get him in the end, fishing about 2 feet from the margins on a dumbell 32.8oz common, was a great fish, i have pics il send if you like.

you got carp not much of them though theres pike to i no of a 27lber and the obviouse are roach rudd guegon(soz for the spelling) perch i have had them to 2lb but i no of some bigger aload of bream as well

that was only on one rod but i have noticed in spring the carp make the most of any sunshine and obviosly that 2-3 feet of water are going to be the first part of water to be warmed up by the sunshine

timberland is a class fishery and ive watched ur video ive fished it myself and i have had 8 pound ghost carp float fishing

its behind parndon mill if you keep going behind the lock and you have to keep going along the river bank until you come to a bridge then you cross the bridge and come back on your self but on the other side of the river this stretch is full of carp and perch i have had perch out of that stretch to 3lb
