  • Congrats man!

  • weak angle

  • i don't believe him cause how do we know he got a strike in every frame we only seen three strikes y worship the guy if we don't even have proof that hes the real deal? thumbs up if u feel me

  • @havocboyz123 1) Don't worship me period. I'm not that good. Not even close. 2) Check my bowl(dot)com page to see any of my honor scores that actually *do* count now that I bowl better than I did back when this was filmed. This one was in practice so it doesn't even count to begin with, but it was my first so that made it noteworthy to me.

  • u can tell is it not the same one over and over agen becuase look at the peins when the ball hets the peins fly diff and the sound in the back grond is diff every time

  • Nice man. Was this your first ever, in or out of league?

If so, I know the feeling. I shot a 300 in open bowling. Then shot 298 in league a few weeks later. Took me 8 months to finally shoot one in league. Shot the 298 with a Storm Attitude Shift, and got the 300 ring with a Storm Virtual Gravity.

    Storm rules.

Also, to those who think it's a repeat shot: watch the 4-pin. It falls differently on all 3 shots.

  • @georgiadawg278 Yes, this was the first. I've thrown several since this thanks to making some changes in my game and learning more about layouts and surface on bowling balls. (See my other, newer videos for examples)

  • Concrats on the 300!

  • This was only on one lane though, kudos all the same :D I find some lanes particularly hard because I start from the left, access is restricted by the dispenser -.-

  • You're right. 300s aren't a big deal anymore.

  • No im just a smart ass

  • Good job! As you grow with the sport and move up into more difficult lane conditions, 300 games will be like nothing in house conditions. Glad you're having fun!!!

Side note - lol man you got lucky on that last one. You dropped the ball a bit; thought it was going to go on the nose for a moment!

  • I'm annoyed my center doesn't put down any sport conditions during the first half of winter league season. They have a PBA Experience league in the summer, and they put down the USBC Open shot once a week from February through the end of the tournament, but that's it. I love sport shots -- they're making me a better bowler. I won my PBAX league last year and shot 259-264 back to back on the Shark pattern one night. (259 was the last game of league, 264 was right after that in practice)

  • Are u sure its not the same shot over and over?? And that hop really could start messing up ur form, u should work on that . . . u should also post some proof of ur game. if u didnot repeat the vid that u must be an amazing bowler!!! r u gona go pro???

  • Either you didn't read the annotations at the bottom of the video or the comments or the video description , or you read all of them and are just being a smartazz, I can't decide...

  • @djbelc01 All of the above !

  • @Robbyc0516 Seriously, you are a jack ass...the first strike was high and could of left the 4 pin maybe the 4-7...the second shot was perfect, and the third shot got a little outside but found its way back...as this guy says he might not be that great in his eyes, but he is doing very well.

  • yeah this is a great ball im trying to find a new one to drill out

  • thats real good, man. back jan. 28, 2009, i had 33 strikes in a row. i shot 201, 300, 300 and 244. where do you bowl and how many lanes are there?

  • Congrats on the 300, sanctioned or not. I got my first 300 ever (it was sanctioned) last Friday... Threw 23 strikes in a row.

I'm not trying to brag, just still excited... Anyways the Special Agent is a terrific ball. We got one for my dad (220 bowler) and he threw his first 800 and countless 700's with it. This ball hits HARD.

  • congrats on your 1st 300 last week. Enjoy the ring! It will always be exciting to talk about The Perfect Game! Great job.

  • i watched this video because of a review on the ROTO GRIP CELL video you posted regarding your "hop." haha i see it now. i wasn't sure what the person was referring to. yea your game is much better. you have much better balance

  • nice shootin tex, how old are all you guys?

  • you just repeated the video 3 times then added some clapping in the bakground.

  • ...again, doesn't ANYBODY read the other comments on a video before they say something? Go read through them and you'll see proof you're wrong.

  • ur an idiot the first shot was a slightly high ball it had a late trip on the 4 pin if u kno which one that is 2nd shot was pretty much perfect dead flush the last one was dead flush but out on the lane a little bit farther lik he said pay attention

  • hey how much did you buy this ball? im bidding one right now on ebay at 85 usd, brand new in box, shipping included. is this a good deal?

  • The Special Agent is discontinued now (replaced by the Dimension, an amazing ball for the record!), so I paid quite a bit more back when it was brand new than what it'd go for now. $85 for NIB is pretty good, especially if the shipping price is reasonable.

  • thanks for the quick response bro, i lost in bidding.... someone bid 92usd and 16usd for shippping. Ill prolly get the Hammer Venom for 99.95usd "buy now" with free shipping. also got good reviews for it. any feedback about this ball will be appreciated. thanks

  • The Venom will probably be somewhat similar in reaction to the Special Agent, perhaps a bit more angular. That price is pretty low -- is it actually NIB or used? (If it's NIB, is it a blem/long pin/etc.?) Also, with Hammer equipment (and all Ebonite-made equipment actually), coverstock maintenance is very important, you must clean and refresh the surface on the ball regularly. Do oil extraction with a revivor or placing the ball in the dishwasher (turn off the dry cycle to avoid cracking!)

  • yes its also NIB. thanks for the great advise on maintenance. never knew bout the dishwasher thing. right now im averaging 182 on amateur leagues using my old hammer. im pretty excited for my new venom and eventually improve my average > thanks a lot and good luck!

  • I beg to differ on maintenance though...I use a Hammer Black Widow Bite, and my reaction never changed for a year without cleaning it and doing the hot water thing.

  • You are one of the very rare few who can get so lucky.

  • =D

But it's not like the maintenance is difficult really. I just soaked mine in hot water for twenty minutes a couple weeks ago so that it would look better and react like it did out of the box.

  • wow that was three strikes wupty fuckn doo, that aint no 300

  • And yet another person who didn't bother to read any of the other comments first... (How is it possible to use the Internet if you can't read? I've never figured that one out.)

  • hahahahah

  • im maddd likee dhaa firstt 3shot weree dhaaa sameee. youu juss repeatedddd ittt

  • Wow, if you ever teach a typing class, I am so taking it.

  • haha he studers with his fingers

  • u have a great realease... great rotation....great reaction.... but that hop at the foul line? i dont think i like that... but everything else is good....congrats on ur 300

  • If you really did a three hundred game u wouldve had a more consistant shot and u wouldve showed the score board. For those two reasons this is definitly fake. But my world record 50 pullups is real.

P.S. bodyboarding is better then surfing

  • 1) Scoreboard IS shown. There's a link to the picture in the description of the video. 2) Check my bowl(dot)com page to see my other sanctioned 300s if you don't believe I can throw one. Also have witnesses. 3) It was in practice, who really cares to begin with? And most importantly, 4) Bodyboarding vs. surfing? What the hell was that all about? You get my vote for most random comment on this video.

  • i agree who really cares if its in practice. actually i count mine in practice just cuz i dont have enough sanctioned haha. 3 sanctioned as of today (shot one today) and 6 total haha.

  • it looks like 1 same shots but after reviewing it, it is definitely 3 different shots. grats on your 300 even though we didnt see all the shots!

  • he just showed the same strick 3 times

  • As we already went over in these comments, you can see they're different shots. The 10th ball is left, late 4 falls, 11th one is pure, and the 12th I leaked out right quite a bit but it recovered and hit a little light. (And before you say this still isn't proof, I don't care. This was in practice so the 300 didn't count for anything anyway. You can always look me up on the USBC's website if you want to see my small handful of honor scores on there)

  • I'm not sure why a lot of people are saying he didn't bowl a 300. in comments he explained the reason why he didn't have his camera up the whole time and that he does indeed have witnesses to the game. Also someone had stated that you cannot be calm bowling your first 300 game, that is not true just bowling is a mental game and you need to learn to stay calm whether you throw a bad ball or on your last ball of a perfect game. Good shot, glad you managed to stop hopping on your approach.

  • oh, yeah, the special agent rolls pretty good too

  • Great ball, but it's actually been relegated to sitting in the basement. In my opinion, the Dimension is everything the Special Agent was, and more. A little extra midlane, a little smoother breakpoint, but even more continuous and more overall hook than the Special Agent. (It got me an 812 series a couple months ago, so I guess you can tell I like it!)

  • wait a second, i just checked your USBC #...Daniel Belcher...as in Dan Belcher from BR?

  • That's me. And actually, I DID miss my target on these shots. The 10th ball is left, 11th one is pure, and the 12th I leaked out right quite a bit but it recovered. (Watch it in full screen to see better) And I can produce witnesses if you really want proof! ;) Seriously though, it was in practice, there's nowhere near the nerves when it doesn't count. I was much more nervous last Saturday night on my 290 (meh!) in league than I was over the summer on a 300 I had in an unsanctioned league!

  • heh. its TCP from BR...well, formerly from BR, they banned all 3 of my accounts for no reason.

anywho, i take back by last comment. i've seen enough of your posts on BR to believe you actually shot 300 here.

i've had front 9 in practice a couple times and i wasn't as nervous as a i was when it counted last week in league, but still didn't wanna choke on it in practice (which i did in league)....threw the 10th shot through the beak and half the rack fell on the 10 LOL....good shootin though man

  • Thanks. Didn't realize you had been banned on BR! Though having three accounts probably doesn't help any!! But yeah, in this video, I was practicing last May throwing all my different equipment, and the last game I decided to go for score with the Special Agent I had just punched up, and once I had the front 9, I got my digital camera out just in case!

  • LOL yeah but, i only created the others after the first and second were banned, for no reason at all.

anyway, i usually have my camera on when i practice (hence the abundance of videos but lack of new ones on my page), i just never do anything special when i practice ;)

  • there's no way you shot 300 in this video. ESPECIALLY your FIRST 300 EVER. nobody is that calm their first time around, practice or not. you didn't miss your targets on any of those shots.

i just shot my first honor score in league last wednesday, 299, and i was nervous as shit on getting up for my 10th shot.

stop trying to make yourself look better by claiming to have shot 300 on youtube...

  • congrats on your recent 800 series dude!

  • Thanks!

  • too bad u were on one lane...and u cant prove that u shot a 300

  • Only this one at least. You can find my honor scores, league averages, etc. on bowl(DOT)com, I'm member number 5914-25

  • do u realize that little hop u do means that ur off balance?

  • Yes, I no longer hop -- I've moved up on the approach to the first set of dots since this video was done. See my most recent bowling video I posted (the Rico drill pattern one) for an example. My hand position has changed since that video even, however. I'm staying behind the ball longer now as well.

  • those were nice strikes but thats not a 300

  • It's just the last three frames from a practice 300. I wasn't even shooting for score until I happened to string the front 6 or so and just stuck with that same line. I had my camera with me, so I recorded the 10th frame. It didn't count for anything anyway, just practice. (I do have two sanctioned 300 games though if you're curious, you can look it on bowl(dot)com, USBC member # 5914-25)

  • wrist guards to support your wrist are fine. but they can be a crutch for beginners who dont need one

  • I agree that I don't like the "skip step". But I have to admit I know a couple of people that are hard to beat and they have that little hop. One of them carries several high averages every year. You should work on getting firmly planted though, it will help. I have no problem with the wrist guard. they are legal and are used for various reasons. Wrist problems are common in this game. I love the Storm produts.

  • He does it because his timing is off at the line. He's not in balance you also notice that he drops the ball at the line.

  • Why does the wrist guard have to go? There are professionals that use wrist guards too and they are completely legal. If he feels comfortable with the wrist guard there is no problem with that. I know a lot of people that require a wrist guard to play with.

  • I think everything looks great expect for only two things. Someone said it already, but the wristguard has to go and when you slide you have a skip step. You have to get rid of both of those things and your game will be almost perfect. Nice video and practice makes perfect.

  • the Wristguard is normal, there is a PBA pro that uses one all the time. Michael Haugen Jr. not only that, he just won a PBA event

  • ummmm, he has pins in his wrist. He needs a wrist guard. I don't see why wrist guards need to go. Mike Scroggins and Michael Haugen both use wrist guards.

  • GOOD JOB BUT!!!

    loose the wrist guard

sorry but i think its better if u learn without it

    goodjob though

sorry if you think im hating

  • You're not the only person who says that, but I quite simply am physically capable of bowling well without it. I tried for years to bowl without one, but it hurt my wrist and I was unable to support the ball well. Not surprising, considering everyone in my family has weak wrists -- my dad is as strong as anybody I know, and he has the same exact problem.

  • Scratch my original reply, and imagine I said "incapable" instead of "capable." Whoops.

  • have u got ne tips on getting more hook out of my storm tropical coz im struggling

  • Do you need more hook, or are you having trouble just getting to the pocket consistently? There's much more to it than hooking the ball. Try to find a coach in your area (check in the pro shops around you) and have him work with you. That's going to be much more effective than any advice I can give without actually seeing your game in person.

  • thanks

  • so since it was practice you did or didn't get a 300 ring?

  • Not for this game. I did however get a ring for my 300 in league in September, and then I shot another in league in December in another (much tougher) house.

  • i have a higher rev rate and ball speed and this ball is prolly one of the best storm balls i have ever thrown... i can change my hand position to make it go a little straighter, but i can also get on it and it faces the pocket very nicely.... i have a couple of sanctioned 300s on mine. now this is the only storm bowling ball that i own and use on a regular basis. now im using mostly ebonite and columbia but the special agent is on of the best balls i have ever thrown by storm

  • Great shooting! I purchased a Special Agent a few weeks ago. First game out of the box, playing the 15 board out to 5, I shot a 240 with 3 turkeys. Ball hits like a freight train! Last Wednesday, after opening in the first on a lousy 3 pin, which is unlike me, I strung 7 strikes in a row, spared in the 9th, and doubled in the 10th for a total of 257, which tied my second highest game. When the lanes break down a bit, I just use more of an inside line and that usually helps.

  • Good shooting! Yeah, the Special Agent really turns the corner well when you have to get left with your feet if you have the right shot for it. Usually I can switch to something pearl like my Total NV when I get deeper inside, but not alawys. I've had big games throwing it straight up the 6 board with this ball, and had a 300 in league playing 15 to 10, keeping a pretty tight line to the pocket. Very versatile ball.

  • thats kinda like my resurgence from columbia. i've had a couple 280+ games going straight up 4 or so and 300 playing the big swing from 15-3 and back

  • Yes, they are very, very similar types of balls. Low RG symmetrical cores with aggressive matte finish solid coverstocks. Very smooth but just a little pop on the backend. I had a 289 in a 776 series Tuesday night with the Special Agent pushing it from 8 to about 5 at the breakpoint. Only bad cases of operator error kept me from having about an 830 or so. Smooth but strong equipment is very underrated!!

  • yes it is. all the kids now (i'm 15 but very mature for my age) are all about seeing how far right they can throw it and get it back to strike. i always go up to them and say "you know its easier if you throw the thing a bit straighter" o and my resurgence doesn't have a matte finish on it, it's a little more glossy but thats just cause it grabbed in the mid lane just a little to much for me. i wanted it to read but not start hooking :)

  • haha i love how people say "ebonite is better than hammer" and visa versa...too bad they're the same thing along with Track and Columbia now. The logos may be different but its all Ebonite international technology.

  • Exactly. All are made in Hopkinsville, KY, with the same basic equipment. And each line has its own characteristics. The Track balls tend to be asymmetric skid/flip, Columbia symmetrical heavy rolling pieces, etc. But it's all one big company!

  • If anyone cares, I shot my second sanctioned 300 game Saturday night at Executive Strike & Spare in Louisville, KY. I was using the Special Agent, playing roughly the same line you see in this video, except with slightly less speed and a little more axis rotation. I absolutely love this ball when there's enough head oil to push it down the lane! Also, my first sanctioned 300 I shot back in September is finally listed online: members.bowl(DOT)com/SearchUSBC/ViewMember.aspx?prefix=5914&suffix=25

  • OK, so that link didn't come out very well... It might be easier just to search for member# 5914-25 at bowl(DOT)com

  • was that your first? if so that was like serioulsy a month right after mine lol august september were good months haha

  • talk about good months my dad n grandpa both shot 300s in the same month, i was hopping that i'd get mine, but i've got a long time, i'm only 13

  • what i dont get is, shouldnt balling a 300 would make you estatic?

  • It was in a practice session, it doesn't count. I cared much, much more when I shot one in a league where I actually get a ring for it. (Well, assuming the head of our local association ever sends in the friggin' awards for this season...)

  • hehe ya the one in league is waaaaaay more awesome than in practice hehe.

  • The people that say you have bad from must not realize that its not about having the "perfect" form...its about finding one that works and being able to repeat it. Rock on!

  • im getting the black widow way better

  • Not really any better or worse, just a little different kind of reaction.

  • I just bought the new Shift Attitude today. Heard it was a good ball.

Only shot a 279 before. It was during School Bowling last year. Left the 7 pin in the 9th frame.

On the first ball in the vid, the ball came up just a bit high. I could tell you got scared a little bit lol. Could have easily left the 10.

  • hammer the best!:)

  • yay, storm ball :)

  • Yep, I'm thinking about going mostly, if not all, Storm now. I've got a Total NV I really like, but it's nothing THAT special (I haven't even used it recently), and a few weeks ago I got a MoRich Awesome Revs just because it was like $50 cheaper than the Storm Shift on sale at the time. But I love the type of reaction and pin carry I get from Storm (I shot a 299 the other week with my Spit Fire in fact when I couldn't get lined up with any other ball at all!)

  • I wont complain about ur form or anything but just the fact that your only using 1 lane really doesnt impress me becuase to bowl on 2 different lanes will always be more difficult then bowling on just 1.

  • It was just practice (which makes it even easier since I don't have as much transition). I didn't even intend on shooting for score, I was just trying out my new ball and started stringing strikes, so I went with it. I HAVE since this video shot a sanctioned 300 in league, and the two lanes were playing fairly close but not quite identical, yes.

  • Nice shooting. Fuck what everyone says about your follow-up hops or not being behind the ball. There's no reason to follow everything by the books, especially when u can hit a 300 in a league pattern.

  • bs!!! u just put different shoots together. i'll beleive that crap when u show it without editing it

  • I've still got the unedited clip on my PC somewhere, but it doesn't show anything other than the pin setter and me waiting on some kids to the right side of me to finish their frame. (I just set the camera on a chair behind me and turned it on when I realized I had the front 9) If it's really *that* hard to believe I shot a 300 there, bear in mind I shot one in a league a couple weeks ago too -- I can show you the ring when I get it in the mail in a few weeks...

  • I've bowled at that center before in a youth tournament.

  • If anyone is interested, I finally shot a sanctioned 300 in my Tuesday night league this week, I was using a Morich Awesome Revs for that game. The Special Agent has so many games on it now it's finally starting to lose some of its hook and pin action, plus I needed a pearl particle ball to smooth out over/under and to help on carrydown for another league.

  • what does the thing on your wrist do...

  • It's a wrist support -- because I have a weak wrist, normally I would have trouble keeping my hand in place and my wrist would bend back under the weight of the ball. The brace keeps my hand slightly cupped for more control and more hook. If you have a stronger wrist, it wouldn't help your game any really.

  • having a strong wrist helps....the guard will affect ur spare shot and u will not be able to execute a straight shot....if u are u bowler that follows the book....u will break ur wrist when u do spare shots...and u will not be able to break ur wrist the correct way if u are wearing a guard...

  • That's why I throw a plastic ball at spares. No matter what position my wrist is in, the ball goes straight. Takes another variable out of the equation!!

  • lol.....somehow,my spareball starts to hook with so i have no choice but to break my wrist..haha..

  • good job

  • gg.. you really need to stop dancing up there though.. that skip on your foot can really screw you all up for balance

  • I actually do that FOR balance. It's after I let go of the ball, so it doesn't affect shot repetition. Because I take such long steps and have my body moving fast at the line, it's hard to stop and still get good leverage otherwise.

  • Look, it's not exactly a good habit and if it were me I'd try and break it, but if you consistently hit the 1-3 with a ball that has some drive (whether your game generates the drive or your wallet i.e. high tech bowling ball), who gives a sh..? An X is an X and a win is a win, no points for style.

  • Nice comment. Watch Walter Ray Williams hop when he releases the ball. I'd love to have that hop and the checks that he's won with it.

  • WRW is a great example of how you don't have to have textbook form to be an incredibly consistent, accurate bowler with a strong enough release to knock over the pins. His head bobs all over the place, he comes up at the line and forces the ball through his release, but hey, it works!

  • Was that in league...? It appeared that nobody was bowling to the left of you because the lane was turned off.

  • No. As noted in the first line of the video description: "The 10th frame of a 300 game in practice with a newly-drilled Storm Special Agent. It's the first 300 I've ever shot. Too bad it was in practice so it counts for absolutely nothing!"

  • Sorry, I'm pretty new to YOUTUBE and did not read the entire description. I'm assuming you like the ball a lot. How does it work when the lanes breakdown or on non heavy oil lanes?

  • This ball is NOT for light oil. It's most at home on medium to heavy oil. It's a great ball (especially in a PBA Experience league!), but fairly high maintenance. I've had a bit of "ball death" (it doesn't hook or hit anywhere close to the way it used to) after about 100 games on it, I need to resurface it and run it through my pro shop's rejuvenator.

  • im not sure if im right but i think thts the same shot 3 times in a row i meen ur foots sticking the exact same way

  • I always "stick" and hop after I release the ball because it helps me keep my balance. They're not the same shot if you pay attention to where the ball rolls and how the pins fall. The first ball I started a little left and tripped the 4 pin lane, the second ball is a high flush pure strike, the last ball is actually a pretty bad ball, I missed about three boards right, but because it was just a regular house pattern, it hit some dry and came back and tripped the corner pins.

  • REAL bowlers look at the ball traveling down the lane and leaving the pin deck. If you'd watch something else besides his feet you'd see different pin fall patterns and ball movement down the lanes. AND, his foot doesn't stick and land in the same spot on each shot. duh?! Nice bowling djbelc01.

  • ur cool

  • jealous?

  • yup haha but i dont see why he has to go watch a guy throw a 300 and bring him down by saying he has 19 300s

  • Prove it.

  • how can i know that that wasn't just three random strikes?

  • Because he has a screenshot of his 300series?

  • ok ok i had not read that... sorry

  • Yeah, I think I saw you bowling on scorpion earlier this week. Me and my friends were bowling next to you, practicing up for the PBA Experience.

  • Yeah, you probably did. I was up there on Tuesday evening on the right side of the house. I got in one good game on the Scorpion that night, and did the same thing last night in league. Shot a 243, and backed it up with a 152 the last game. :P

  • Yep, that was you!

A few days later I shot 244 (on house shot :p)

it was my 2nd highest game, #1 is 246

  • Alright, good shooting! :)

  • Yo! i see that you bowl at kingpin too. great bowling center, nice game! when was this?

  • Thanks! Yeah, it was at Kingpin Lanes on Monday May 7th I believe. Great house, except for the always-tacky approaches and high prices.

  • keep on that same line, Unless you change or the lanes change, you will keep bowling like that. Finally, someone with good form.

  • Thanks. I wish I could always throw that same line! Unfortunately, I rarely bowl on the regular house shot at that center. The only league I'm in there is a PBA Experience league, and I end up having to throw a totally different line every single week for those oil patterns. (If I threw that same 10th frame on a PBA league shot, the first ball would have been a 3-6-10 and the third a washout!)

  • That is AMF lanes? Practice 300 game is priceless.

  • Yeah, brand new lanes, only one year old. The house shot is pretty damn easy and carry is obscenely good. However, I'm prone to hanging 10 pins when I get the front 9 or 10 strikes, so it's nice to finally get past that! I was still very happy with that considering this is the first time I've been on the regular house shot at this alley in a year. I've been bowling exclusively on the PBA Experience league oil patterns there the past three weeks

  • Very awesome indeed! Congrats man :D
