Great advice! I found your information after having problems on my 05 R1200GS. I ended up dremeling down to the wires and unsoldering the leads from the old switch, then re-soldering them back to the new switch after installation. Didn’t have to splice any wires. Thanks!
Thanks to your tip, I was able to identify the switch as the culprit for my inop right turn switch. Were you able to get the switch through your BMW motorcycle dealer? Thanks.
