  • ffs. i dont understand a shit of what you are saying mate!

  • hey man you speack too much!!!

  • this is perfectly fine, but does this work when you use scenes???

  • I have literally no idea. I haven't used Flash in over a year now, and even when I did I didn't use scenes, not even once. Sorry I can't be of much help.

  • thats ok i jus re-organized my game for frames, it didnt take very long and it works jus great thanks for the tut man =D

  • ya it does

  • ok the loading works fine the thing is that now every other animation now is loading on its own every image and and slows the animation down xD, do i need to do a loading for every animation?

  • ahhhh...thanks so much. i've been struggling with this for over a day.

  • I tried this tutorial and I can't get it to work. When I make my flash document and set it up like yours it won't even play the first frame with the loading animation until the entire movie is loaded. So I still get the white box, and when the movie is loaded, it jumps directly into the music and skips the preloading entirely...

  • I make that mistake all the time. It's only really a matter of time before I get into trouble with a surely Scot or a raving Northerner!

  • N.Irish Accent?

  • Nope, Scottish. You're not the first person to think that though.

  • @kof98se You don't really sound like your Scottish, you sound Irish. :P

  • why wont the preloader work when i try to simulate it it dosnt download or anything i added it to a game i already started

  • Your website doesn't work :S

  • 3:43 {} They're curly brackets, or braces.

  • im using Flash CS4 but why the hell cant I import Mp3's it says File Corrupt and stuff..even though my media player runs is with no errors..

  • I get this problem with some other software that uses MP3 files for visualisations, etc. Try using something like iTunes to re-encode the mp3 file before copying it to Flash CS4. If that doesn't work then perhaps try another file format, as I think Flash re-encodes any audio into mp3 anyway.

  • Thanks A lot!

  • try and download "switch file converter" or something like that, then you can convert it to wav. or whatever you want.

  • No idea :(

  • @Dubaifreak you can only import mp3's that are less than 160kbps or convert it to quicktime .

  • @Dubaifreak Because CS4 itself has problems, it's actually supposed to be around 2.5 GB's and the one you downloaded was most likely wayyyyy less than that

  • Jameskyles accent makes learning fun.

  • I'm using a legit paid for version of Flash, so I can't really distribute my activation code or they'll send heavies 'round and take my kneecaps. Thanks for the feedback though :)

  • u can use crack for it

  • Awsome! I thought it was gonna be alot harder!

  • thanks

  • Thanks mate, extremely useful. I can't figure out Actionscript 3.0 for the life of me. 2.0 Was hard enough.

  • wow thanks man

  • omg thank you sir :D:D i really needed a good hand of help for this :P

  • Thx alot
