You may want to try an Fmaj6 instead of that D - other tabs say Dm or D7there, but the real chord is act. an Fmaj6.

Fmaj6 = 1(Thumb) 0 2 1 2(pinky!) 0 -> G6 [ 3 2 0 0 3 0 ]

And from there it's easy to got to an F-chord, when you need that (in other songs)

( 1(T) 0 (!) 3 2 1 (1) - using index finger as a mini barré )

!) A is also a note in an F-chord, you see - so you can "cheat" a bit there,

and it often sounds better even!
