  • so why isnt this guy out there protesting against the corporate welfare ranging int he trillions of dollars? What is he talking about? He doesnt want to help the poor but the rich is ok?

  • "theres a lot of suffering in the world! thats not my problem!"

  • @AgeOfReclamation ....oh Im sure none of it is "your problem" ...(Probably becasue) "you dont care!" ??

  • @zebra334

    1:23 what a jackass...

  • lolll The Guy yelling should go back to school... worst retard ever

  • @Elementorum ......wasnt there 2 guys yelling? - Plus its not nice to call people retarded (just saying)

  • lolll The Guy yelling should go back to school... worst retard ever

  • 2008

The top 1% pay 40% of federal income tax, which means, one person out of 100 people pays 40% of the fed income tax burden.

The wealthiest 10% (people making over 100,000 a year) pay 72% of fed income tax.

Split the population in half, the wealthiest half (income above the median, or average) pays 92% of fed income tax. And some complain, "the rich" don't pay their share.

  • I went to college with grants and student loans, I was a poorer folk.

If you want to find a balance in your knowledge, you can't just read progressive history books. Try reading

The Road to Serfdom: 1944, F. A. Hayek.

A dissertation on why political freedom is, and can only be, inextricably linked to economic freedom.

  • Hyek has been called the Father of Reaganomics. Considering that Reaganomics has resulted in this mess of an economy I am kinda surprised you would bring him up.

I am afraid you have kinda made my point Rosie. I was talking how much of what we have been taught early on is really not true in general and you brought up a specific example.

  • Funny, I thought Clinton and Fannie & Freddie caused the collapse. They started it, Bush excellerated it, and Obama is both of them on steroids.

    Learn from history m'friend.

Give me a shout in 10 yrs, when you've taken your hard earned education, are earning a living, and the government comes in and rapes the sweat of your brow. I agree that money and power corrupt, but absolute power (in government) and control over the money of the people corrupts absolutely.

    Take care.

  • The rich...who do you think you get a job from? The government? You actually believe government can do a better job with corruption than private industry? Thats hilarious.

Life liberty and the pursuit of happiness...pursuit...not a guarantee of equal results. Get a job, go to school, start a business, work your a%* off & you too can be rich.

Anyway...said enough.anti capitalists = brainwashing by liberal universities = soviet union... funny we have more czars now, than Russia ever had!

  • Brainwashing is what happens to you in gradeschool, brain RINSING is what happens in college- and, for us poorer folks who have no tuition, when we buy a second hand book. Here's a great eye opener forya, try A People's History of the United States by Howard Zinn. This book has been a college standard for decades and has survived every academic challenge levied against it. If you can still espouse the same stuff after reading that, I give, you win. Laterz and good luck

  • "There's a lot of suffering in this world. It's not my problem, it's theirs."

I wonder if he goes to church. Has he ever read what Christ said about taking care of the poor and loving your neighbor?

  • So profit is more important than people. Interesting. So he should put profit before himself and jump off a cliff.

  • Biden & the President pay around 6% of their massive incomes in charity...is that why they don't mind taxing charitable contributions? We pay twice as much a percentage of our income to charity as our president does. It upsets me that he wants to tax that ...does that make me greedy? I was heavily involved in organizing ....talk to the folks...you'll find your perceptions do not match reality.

The only war this rally was about, was the war on personal liberty, capitalism, and free enterprise.

  • what about the "war on the poor"?

If your idea of "free enterprise" is anything like Free Trade ... I have to say that I dont like it, once again it only benifits "the Rich"

  • 8 kids, 2 mortgages, boy do I feel rich.

    Give me a break.

    Tea Party July 4, 2009! :-D

  • your right there were a few who may be "NOT rich" that attended Not surprising is that taxes & corrupt government spending can get a lot of people "rallying & pissed" But I feel this protest was a deceptive mixed/mess of many "tax-ish" ideas & the bottotm line it "seemed to me" it was all about (shhhh)...greed!

Kind of like a "Me First" attitude. heck Me First is ok, but I dont like selfishness, and I want to share and help others, I want to protest taxes/war, but this tea tax wasnt about war

  • hey Joe what do you know????? its me mike. here is my 2 cents. this whole protest was staged by the new world order in order to redirect the ligitiment rage at the federal reserve and taxation. so that later when they offer the solution to the bullshit they caused in the first place. the useful fucking idiots will think its a good idea. the solution is a world wide version of the federal reserve. and a new world banking order. fuck this is evil shit man

  • Interesting perspective...I agree with your NWO worries, but it will happen by government nationalizing banks and taking them from the individual...a little something called fascism.

  • To hell with this idea of the sanctity of property!

Property is indeed theft from those whom are without!

    Captialism equals exploitation.

  • I meant Capitalism! oops!

  • Oh yes, and socialism has served our world so well= poverty and the death of millions of people.

Capitalism has caused more advancement and wealth in the last 200 yrs, than in the 5000 yrs prior. Get your head out of the clouds and learn something of the country in which you live.

  • Of course everything is a dichotomy, black and white of course! Its either Capitalism or Socialism, Government or Barbary, Salvation or Damnation blah blah blah...Can you all please have ONE original thought?

Let me know when you all stop being egotistical self-righteous pricks and want to think about the welfare of those much less fortunate.

Take a minute to examine your privilege, your sense of entitlement, your socio-economic background and how it affects the stupid things you say.

  • Capitalism is where the GREED starts to set in

The *rich will benifit the most

I have pulled my head out of the lofty "me first" clouds... In Socialism the love gets spread around. Capitalism has brought this country to its knees. The country we live in has so much corruption and the capitalist systems feeds off this. The rich will fight to the teeth to keep this in place.. no matter how many kids or morgages, they need the "me first" all the while as they try to say "We / I Care about others"

  • @zebra334, what are you doing in the U.S.? You don't deserve to live here. You deserve to live and continue to spread "love" (hate and despair) in Cuba or North Korea along with comrades Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Van Jones, etc.

Leave your place in the U.S. to a deserving human being who yearns for freedom and democracy.

  • @Antonio33s ...as if i would take advise from you (ha-ha) Also (FYI) I'm not a "Democrat"... Everyday I work for peace and justice....(not like you) I have over 600 videos on youtube about "peace & justice" topics (not like you) ...you are an armchair backseat big mouth. I *should block your stupid comments because idiots that shit talk others (here on youtube) and yet have nothing to show for them selves are egotistic fools and only are wasting my time.... (all talk no action!) (blah blah blah)

  • I am the "Inspector Gadget " guy and I know what a moral hazard is. It is the assertion that profit will take care of everyone when the empirical evidence to the contrary can be found within a few yards of the discussion in question. I do not assert that the needs of some people give a claim to the property of others I do assert that a healthy society demands it . Or do you think we do not need the fire departments or public hospitals?

  • After this the Good Americans got on the Socially Supported MAX train to go to the parking spaces put out by the city for their convenience from taxes they pay on their property. They drove home to houses over roads maintained by taxes and they walked in homes that were safe to live in because government regulation holds builders to minnimum standards. Gee, no wonder they hate big governemnt and taxes

  • Hey Im not the guy you are trying to poke fun of ..but I was wondering if you could explain "moral hazard"? And I dont recall in the video what you are refering to as per "the claim to the property of others?"

  • To the liberal guy who looks like Inspector Gadget, do you know what "moral hazard" is? And by what right do the needs of some people give a claim to the property of others?
