hi! that was absolutely beautiful! i'm a junior in high school and i'm learning this. i love bach! do you have any advice for playing? also if you have any advice for college auditions and whatnot that would be awesome! thanks so much for sharing this video! :)
@barnespercussion Don't apologize.If you're so busy you don't have much time for the Internet,that's a good thing.
Question-have you ever played this or seen it played with four mallets?It was required on the New York Phil '85 audition and they specified it be played with four mallets.
@Capcoor huh....no, I haven't, I think it would really stink to have to play it with four mallets...did you check which movement of the Partita the NY Phil was asking for? They may have been wanting a different movement, because I know there are other movements of this that should be played with 4...
I love it. Thanks for the music. Have you ever heard this piece on steelstring guitar. If you like to, check my videos or shearch for Pal Paulikovics. Greetings from Germany
you have a wonderful sense of legato...i love it! A few clipped notes, but nothing that came close to messing up the performance....you have a beautiful sense of rubato as well.
wow. awesome. I played this for my college auditions this year. it definitely sounds best an octave down on marimba. Our phrasing and shaping are way different, but all the professors who heard me said that I played it beautifully. It just goes to show how much you can do with this piece and it still sounds absolutely wonderful. Three cheers for Bach.
Hey, I'm gonna learn this, perhaps for a senior recital but perhaps just for fun.
either way, thanks for posting! wonderful quality.

@barnespercussion I made a mistake.(How often do you hear a man say that?) It was Sonata no.3-Fuga.They asked from the beginning to bar 176.

Un sonido muy bonito, como debe de ser. Buena elección de baquetas.

It sounds beautiful!
I want to try that one.

Too romantic for my taste... Try playing it using only dynamics as effects and stay away from the rubati when playing Bach..
All comes down to personal taste I guess ;)

definitely gorgeous, you're great !
But at some moments, you slow down too much, particulary on the last chords. It would be even better played a bit faster.
great performance anyway
