Angus and Malcolm had written a whole lot for the follow up album. They didn't wanna use any of the Bon-material. So they co-worked with Brian to finish the lyrics on the Back in Black album. That should be the official story if I don't remember correctly.
Then if Bon wrote some of the material or not - well no one can no, only guess. Only Angus n Malcolm are the only ones who knows. But I don't think they would use his material without crediting him. It doesn't sound like them.
According to some roadies they had seen some of the Back in Black material written down on Bon's notes during the Highway to Hell tour, notably some lines from You Shook Me All Night Long. You're right, how much noone can now. They apparently did not credit him as to give Brian Johnson a chance to not live in Bon's shadow.

@shamif This was 1979. The actual concert was filmed on December 9, 1979 but there is other footage from other French dates from early December. The two Eric's who filmed this video followed the band around for 2 weeks gathering footage of them from Reims, Metz, Nice, Paris...etc

Well, Jeffrey and some other guy apparently cleaned up Bon's apartment after he died so chances are he found the lyrics Bon had been working on.

Angus and Malcolm had written a whole lot for the follow up album. They didn't wanna use any of the Bon-material. So they co-worked with Brian to finish the lyrics on the Back in Black album. That should be the official story if I don't remember correctly.
Then if Bon wrote some of the material or not - well no one can no, only guess. Only Angus n Malcolm are the only ones who knows. But I don't think they would use his material without crediting him. It doesn't sound like them.

According to some roadies they had seen some of the Back in Black material written down on Bon's notes during the Highway to Hell tour, notably some lines from You Shook Me All Night Long. You're right, how much noone can now. They apparently did not credit him as to give Brian Johnson a chance to not live in Bon's shadow.

when brian wrote the lyrics to fly on the wall(album) Malcolm and angus didn't think he was much of a lyricist so they wrote all the lyrics till black ice i think that was the case im not to sure cause im not them

ok so just because the songs are about boose, sex, and rock n roll means bon wrote it? what about for those about to rock, sink the pink, heatseaker, hard as a rock....and all them? their songs have ALWAYS been about that sorta thing. yeah i'm sure brian writes that way because of the way bon started....but that doesn't mean bon wrote the lyrics....be a real fan of the band and quit being a post-bon scott hater
