  • 1-27-2012. He's not blue. He's just 32. Happy Birthday, Marat. But this is NOT angry. Watch some tapes of John McEnroe. He'll show you how it's done.

  • LOL no one Tops Johny Mac

  • That challenge from Safin even made Pascal Maria look foolish.

  • Marat best!!!

  • Marat isn't mentally unstable as at first appears. He's actually an utterly happy and wise person naturally, which comes through mostly in interviews not in English. He's a Shakespearen fool - calls a spade, does what he feels in the moment. That mentality produces happy, but not successful people.

  • @Kuzya7805 in what life is somebody who wins 2 grand slams and reached no1 in the world considered unsuccessful?

  • King. the end.

  • future pm? my foot .. russia just got over a fundamintalalist regiem .. NO MUSLIMS FOR RUSSIA ... fuck muslims fuck marat

  • @akhrojjamal Hahaha Marat has been elected into the duma.

  • @akhrojjamal see kids this is a first hand results of inbreeding with your siblings right here. congratulations sir your parents were brother and sister

  • Future PM of Russia :D

  • the title shoud be " Safin being safin "

    lol love this man

  • Awwww. I am sorry, honey. I know what its like to be cheated of what's yours.

  • wow this is classic! safin rules!

  • "Charles, why are you over-ruling his balls? For what you over-rule? If you are not sure then don't call it man! How are you going to be sure if the ball touches the line, how are you gonna be sure? You guys give me a warning, because I'm over then and I wanna see? Now you see what's gonna happen, I can't argue and you guys have got all the power!"

"Of course the guy is hitting all the time, he can be smoking a cigar and he can also be sitting with two chicks but he has no clue about tennis!"

  • Hahahaha Legend!

  • I really miss Marat,he was such a great player and person. There are no more crazy dudes like him in atp.

  • This chair umpire is the biggest asshole in the universe

  • after getting used to the cold and 'cool' styles of nadal and federer, Marat reminds me that watching a tennis match is actually entertaining when the player is passionate and shownig his emotions! god, I miss him.

  • Man that guy is probably one of the coolest players ever.

  • when he says 'POWER' it sounds like Tony Montana says it.

  • the face impression of safin at 1:55 is a classical russian gesture. most seen on girls. you take it funny its so regular for me. safin has a 1st class personality!

  • 1:55 EPIC FACE...xD...Marat is a legend

  • Hahaha i miss Safin so much

  • Fuck Pascal Maria

  • Woo, Safin and Roddick, sorry for the umpire.

  • Hahahaha Safin is the best entertainer among tennis players EVER :))

And also one of the best players :)

  • hahaha a amazing player the tennis world have lost one of their best player ever

  • wearing a tie, smoeking a cigar with two chicks and has no clue about tennis lmaooo

  • No shock another person getting angry at Pascal Maria. Fucking clown.

  • 'smoking a cigar' LOL

  • everyone hates pascal

  • I bet it feels pretty safe on that high chair, I wonder though, what would happen if Karlovic or Isner get angry :D

  • What a waste, could have achieved so much more if he would have channeled his agression more.

  • @redplague What about his constant injuries?

  • @SoooBlue Of course, but it's not just down to that.

  • @redplague It's mainly because of that. He won 2 slams, reached 2 finals and won 5 masters series and 2 davis cups whilst being a headcase. Your answer is just the lazy mans answer who doesn't know anything about the guy.

  • @SoooBlue Oh I see now we are getting personal, how mature of you. You forgot to count however the tournaments he didn't win whilst being a headcase, that matches that he could have won if he had not lost it.

  • @redplague If you're going to mention his mental instability, why not mention his injuries? After all, he proved he could win tournaments whilst being a headcase and he proved he couldn't win tournaments whilst injured or having suffered an injury. Concluding from this, which one do you think was more influential in his failures?

  • @SoooBlue Why not mention his injuries? Well because the video was about his temper so I was answering within the context of the video. Which one was more influential in his failures? His temper, as I don't view his disruption through injury as a failure on his part, it wasn't his fault, his lack of control was.

  • Regardless of whether he had control over it or not, the injuries were more influential, as you seem to agree. Whether he had control over them or not is a pointless argument. How do you know he had control over his temperament? We are all genetically different, some people tick and some don't, no matter how hard you work on it. Some players have the ability to change but it had to be done at a young age, Marat obviously never had that ability. None of his real fans would change him anyway.

  • @SoooBlue Well I agree with you on one thing, this argument is pointless because you keep trying to change the subject. My original comment was about how he could have won more if he had channeled his anger better. This is not just an opinion, this is a fact. Now you can bring as many arguments about his injuries in as you like but it doesn't change that fact. Oh and by the way I count myself as a fan, though that doesn't cloud my judgement as much as you REAL fans obviously let it.

  • @redplague Well I don't see the point is parroting what umpteen other people have said on every one of his youtube videos. None of his real fans give a shit that he was mentally unstable, that's one of the things that made him unique and fun to watch. The way you mentioned his temperament made it look like that was the primary factor in his failures, when it wasn't because he was still winning whilst a headcase but he never won one title whilst having suffered an injury or as a result of injury.

  • You don't see the point?Amazing that despite that you've taken a great interest in debating what you consider a pointless argument.I don't know about primary factor but definately a major factor was his temper, especially early in his career.By the way Youtube comments aren't contracts where you have stipulate every possible scenerio for someone wanting to argue with it, so sometimes your going get the wrong end of the stick,so your going to have to learn that and not make such a fool of yourself

  • @redplague You're making a fool of yourself by repeating what is already on every single video of his. I couldn't care less if this video is about his temper. This video isn't even showing him lose the plot for no reason, he's actually correct so this isn't a reflection of what you persist on saying about how he has lost matches due to his temper. You foolishly yet insist on saying that his anger had more of an impact on his results than injuries yet the facts illustrate this the other way.

  • @SoooBlue Well actually I didn't say that his anger had more of an impact than his injuries (you created that one in your own head) and if you read my comments properly you would realise what a ridiculous statement that is.

  • @redplague I quote "Which one was more influential in his failures? His temper, as I don't view his disruption through injury as a failure on his part, it wasn't his fault, his lack of control was."

You gave a round about answer but making it clear that you believe his temper was more influential...

How difficult is that to understand? You're the one who wrote it.

  • @SoooBlue How difficult is that to understand? Well for you quite difficult. You've quoted it there yourself, I don't regard his misfortune because of his injuries as a failure, that's not the same as saying it had more of an impact. Are you saying you honestly don't understand that or are you just trolling?

  • @redplague Who said that his injuries were a "failure"? I said that his injuries resulted in his biggest failures, can't you understand this?

  • @SoooBlue That's right but you also asked me "which one do you think was more influential in his failures". I think you've replied with so many weak arguments you've lost track of what you've been saying.

  • @redplague Actually, it's you who sounds like you've lost the plot. Well, not like you ever had one to begin with. I did ask you that, to which you've replied his mentality, which is clearly wrong. That's the furthest this discussion has reached, only to be extended by inane babbling.

  • Well you're not wrong there. What you just said was a repetion of your previous post. You want me to write the same thing again or will you make the effort to read my previous response. If thats how you feel then why continue the conversation? It started by me stating my opinion about his anger, of which you have made arguments about how I should have mentioned his injuries as well and how I should have read the comments on every single other Safin video before commenting (Inane babbling).

  • Crazy bastard...legend tho!

  • i didnt see the ball once during this video...

  • This guy with a tie smoking a cigar with two chicks. He doesn't give a shit a bout Tennis. LoL

    he was an amzing player

    gonna miss that crazy bastard

  • My friend can play better than him

  • @KrakenBeats shut up..

  • Wtf this court looks much smaller.

Or maybe it is because safin is so tall.

  • I was watching Malcolm in the middle the other day and I'm sure I'm not the only one to see a slight resemblence between him and the guy who plays Hal.

  • i dont see the ball

  • Someone Shouted That was out safin LOL

  • @Masterzofall I heard that, they must have felt pretty stupid after the hawk eye showed it was in :)

  • smoking a cigar with two chicks!

  • this @Swordsman808 is a real dumbass.. oh I got it you have no character, no control, no guts and no fight.. this explain why safin is one of the most successful players in the court, and out of the court, if you know what I mean.. and you are a jealous nerd with no life

  • their both angry players

  • @taciturn1992 they're*

  • I remember watching this!!! haha, i love him when he gets angry, frustrated and mad. i think it's sexy idek 0___0

  • @alexlfc2 agreed

  • LOL killa stare bro haha 1:55

  • @Swordsman808 Marat Safin was the most talented player in tennis

  • 1:48 "Of course the guy is hitting with a tie, you know, smoking a cigar. He can be also with two chicks. And he has no grip on tennis."

  • Ah, the good old days.

  • LOL that guy in the crowd at 0:20 yells "that was out!" must have felt like a complete idiot after that =)

  • Got a tie, smoking a cigar with two chicks, but he knows nothing about tennis. Rofl

  • oh how i love you marat

  • lol who else calls the ref by their name...

  • he is the hottest player ever, tennis is not same without him

  • i think marat has a point, safin gets a warning for questioning an umpire's decision. i do think that they have too much power

  • safin and ivanisevic are my favorites!!!

  • We miss you, buddy.

  • I also miss him... great person))

  • He has a point, a very valid one when he is talking to the Umpire!

  • oh sorry^^

  • lol his expression at 1:55 :)

  • This is when he won the Aussie Open :)

  • @MAMA67 no, this is in 2007, marat won in 2005 :p

  • Geez marat is incredible. I miss him.

  • @cleanplasticchild Yes, I also understood "Charles", which is the nick name of umpire Carlos Ramos. As I said, I believe that he didn't really care what the umpire' s correct name (Pascal Maria) was in that situation, because he was so pissed!

  • Hahaha Gotta love Marat.

  • nice personalty.

  • RODDICK IS THE HOTTEST TENNIS DUDE ON EARTH

  • lol at his face at 1:55

  • @ClaraGirl87 : Priceless :)

  • when are sports gonna get wise and get rid of ump's and go digital....lol

  • lol everyone hates pascal maria.

  • It´s really tough to stay that calm in a situation like that.

  • it's pascal maria agaiiiiin

    always problems

  • Tennis players like safin are a rarity-it's a pity that he chose to retire at the age of 29... So young indeed, but the injuries really ruined his career. For me,he and Nadal were the only players that could beat Federer when he is playing at his best. It's absolutely ridiculous how safin calls the umpire "Charles" :) Actually, the occurance of Pascal Maria making a mistake cannot be seen to often...but there,he wasn't right at all.

  • @NickStriker This could indicate that he doesn't really care what the umpire's correct name is. By the way the guy "who could also be with 2 chicks" was the referee and former chair umpire Wayne McKewen from Australia.

  • Comment removed

  • lol

  • it would be funny if he chucks a racket at the umpire

  • "he can also be with 2 chicks" hahaha

  • I miss Safin...used to be so phenomenal.

  • Roddick is worse....

  • Can anybody explain it what Safin say ?

  • Yeah no shit dumbass, i said it so retarded fucks like yourself would say stupid shit like you just did.......Thank you for proving my point.

  • lol his look at 1.56.. its like he just let 1 rip and was thinking..shit, i hope noone smells it.

  • i wanna blow him like at that point...you know, when he's angry so he'd spank me!

  • gatinhooo!

  • tennis is boring without him, I miss the umpires getting told off...btw doesn't he look like Sean Bean, Heath Ledger and a teeny bit like Rhod Gilbert

  • 1:50

Hahahaha!!! I think Safin was completely right in what he was saying, and completely hilarious. Good for him.

  • Comment removed

  • LOL

  • I miss his character!

  • MS is so sexi.

  • 1:55

    Marat's face. So funny.

  • safins forehand is so cool

  • I like how he mouths the F word instead of actually saying it.

  • I think he was just saying "chair"...

  • @ 1:10 what is the umpire's name? charles or travis?

  • @valerieanntan He just said "chair", cuz the umpire's name is Pascal Maria.

  • he didnt loose his temper at all

  • if you are not sure then don't call it man

  • I've been looking for a clip of Safin where he gets called on a foot fault and he responds with a loud WHAAAAATTT ?!?!

Does anyone see it here on youtube?

  • US Open 2008 against Spadea. Sadly, I think the video was removed.

  • @billmaxxx Look for "Marat Safin Foot Fault Mania".

  • @amydawned

Hmm, no that wasn't it. All I remember was Marat sorta froze with a confused look shortly after he served (I think he didn't hear what was called out).. The chair ump tells him it was a foot fault and he yells out in disbelief WHAAAAAAATT ?!?!

    Oh well... thanks anyway

  • safin was clearly right here, the chair umpire should of just apologized

  • the linesman ..sitting like this..smoking cigar ..with 2 chicks.!!

  • I love his accent *.*

  • marat best ever

  • lol, did he say "because I wanna sleep"?

    Safin is awesome.

  • I still love him... <3

  • that umpire is a dick - he always over rules , and theyre 9 times out of 10 in ! He's done it loads with Novak

  • hahaha.....simply the best

  • He is a good player and a good man, without him the tennis life is a little boring...

  • he was a colour in today's tennis one of the big four from the previous generation.(roddick, federer, safin, hewitt) i'm really sorry cause he is leaving....

  • I miss him already..... I love that scream at 0:26! Amazing player, amazing personality, amazing face, amazing body, amazing man... Thank you, Marat, for all you did for tennis!
