@neoshinryu1 Washington=Washington, John Adams=Winston Churchill, Samuel de Champlain= Joao II, Lois de Frontenac=Charlemagne, Simon Bolivar=Zara Yaqob?, Jose de San Martin=I have no idea, Pieter Stuyvestant= No idea, Aidraen van der Donck=So close but I can't remember. (just off of the top of my head)
The two Spanish "colones" are completely out of their time. Bolivar and San Martin were born in El virreinato del Rio de la Plata and Virreinato del Peru, 300 or so years after America was discovered, they are no conquerors, the are liberators who made independance in all south America possible, only half of the game would be historically correct at that point.
How do I know? I studied Argentine history the full 16 years of my life! (And failed it twice in high school)
Hello, my friend, I just want to correct you by saying that Simón Bolívar was born in the virreinato de Nueva Granada, not Rio de la Plata (which is Argentina). Just a little heads up from a Venezuelan ;)...
My bad, din't pass history most of my years in high school down here in Argentina, Bolivar was from a different "Virreinato" (No clue on the translation to english for that word)
They make the leaders more realistic-looking in this game.
(Well, my cousin calls Adriaen van der Donck the "Leprechuan" and Champlain the "Leprechuan's brother" , so maybe they took things too far in designing the models, right?)
Fun fact than only French Canadians can know: That not real Samuel Of Champlain pictures. This is portraits made long after Champlain death. Actually, the only known picture made of his living represent him as a burly man with a long beard.
hahaha i dont mean to kinda ruin ur vid or anything but samuel de champlain had no statues and/or pictures of him so that picture was just how somone guessed him to look like...
Man they really screwed up Simon Bolivar! I know he had facial hair at one point, but all his famous portraits and statues that I know of him have him clean shaven!
It'd be like them putting Abraham Lincoln in Civ4 w/o his beard; sure he didn't have the beard most of his life, but he's most remembered and recognized with it!
this isn't Bolivar, he looks like Cortez, sucks..

Facial shape seems similar, at least. The Dutch and the Spanish animations are original.

Well... Bolivar is totally different from what he should look like. However, Cortes died 250 years aprox before Bolivar had even been born.

Louis de Frontenac has exactly the same expressions and movements as Charlemange in Civ4 beyond the sword XD

Yea, and that samuel guy has the same movements as Joao from civ4 beyong the sword

If you look closely, you'll notice that John Adam's animations are also a carbon copy of Churchill's.

Looking at Bolívar's anachrionistic portrait, I think they originally intended him to be Cortez.

@Blackadder125 Actually,Cortez is a Founding Father IIRC-Think I'm thinking of the Original though...
