  • Hello Zukeflijohan,

I don't have negative experiences with this device.

With a 30 year old engine i don't expect wonders.

All i notice is a smoother running engine, and that is fine by me.

  • If more vorticies made flow faster we would use it everywhere,,,it REDUCES efficiency!

  • I have got one in my 2.25 liter non aspirated diesel engine and i notice that the engine

    is running smoother.

Lets not forget that many people expect a lot of wonders with these devices and therefore

overlook what these things realy do.

    Swirling air.

The emision is somewhat cut ,Plus a smoother running engine is enough for me .

A 30year old Land Rover engine is not a high powered computer piece in the first place so

i can't state the claim of running more KM's with this device installed

  • @rethans It doesn't work, reduced vortecies in the intake are best for fuel economy.

  • i feel sorry for everyone who bought this, ever .. seriously, if you believe something like that you have no rights to own a car at all...

    deepest sympathy

  • @7brok7 LOL!!!

  • YES IT DOES WORK...I use this to remove the skin off squid and also scales of fish. Needs to be kept clean otherwise it has a tenancy to rust .

  • what people don't understand is that the intake hose must be free of air flow restriction in order for it to WORK! it'll need a aftermarket straight flow intake pipe for it to work unless the factory intake hose have no air flow restriction!!! these air restriction are humps on the intake hose. these humps will not allow the vortec to reach its full potential. that is my 2 cents.

  • SCAM, SCAM, SCAM.

  • alse this will actually do is make the emissions measurements different at the higher rpm since the swirling will mix the air and fuel with the swirl motion resulting in a tad more power and unsure which way the emission output will be. the thing they preach on the news about going over 60 mph making your mpg worse is untrue for cars made after the 55 national speed limit was lifted since they are tuned and geared for 75 now that would apply to a 75-94 model. i get 28mpg in my liberty at 75.

  • Seriously..

If it matters HOW the air enters the engine.. then it happens IN the engine. Not somewhere in a rubber hose connected TO the engine. The "beneficial" change in airflow will be disrupted before it enters the engine. So it doesn't works.. worst.. what if a blade breaks..metal going in your engine.

    This is a big problem!

As they say, IF it matters how air enters.. don't you think the engine designers already worked on that?

That and metal blades going into an engine.. ouch.

  • How the FUCK does it "swirl" your exhaust if its inside the INTAKE?

Cyclone, Tornado, all you douchebags should be hung for scamming millions out of vulnerable (read: stupid) consumers.

What you FAILED to mention was the fuel savings were on tuned cars with their computers adjusted to use less fuel. But hey, any way you can make your test "valid" right.

  • This device has been tested and has proven to be ineffective at what it claims to do. If spinning air was so effective, there would be fins inside the carburetor from the manufacturer. In a fuel injected car the fuel is directly injected into the cylinder, so this device won't do anything for you either. This is a flimflam device. Do not waste your money on it.

  • the difference between the tornado and the cyclone is they spin the air different ways :D hehe

  • dont you think the car manufacturers would have implemented something like this by now if it worked? I mean merc spends over a million dollars a DAY in reasearch and dev, toyota spends even more, what does that tell you about this idea?

  • how would this device be a fuel saver??!!! lol...

it restrict air flow. u can save fuel ( fuel injection) by adjusting the fuel calibration in the ECU at the cost of engine running lean. there is no way this device be able to TELL the ecu how much fuel it should flow..

  • All of these swirling air intake devices wont work on fuel injected engines. Once the "swirling air" hits the throttle plate in the throttle body, it gets slowed down and re-stabilized, thereby offering ZERO performance gain. In independent tests, these devices actually caused a DECREASE in fuel economy because it makes the engine breath harder. Having said all that, these divices *might* work a carbeurated engine with a single-barrel carb. Anyone had any luck with this?

  • @Kara0ki It won't work on a carbonated engine either. It has been tested on those kind of cars and does not stand up to it's claims. The net fuel savings is zero.

  • Taking lines from "Christmas Story" lol. Nissan's 3.5 gets about that stock at least that what my cousins Altima SE-R gets with that engine. I don't know anyone with a 350Z so I couldn't tell ya."

  • @workensmart - I love that movie. Sick of it now after Christmas. lol

  • it actually works... the air mixes with gasses better

  • These companies are such scams these things do about as much as those BS oil additives NOTHING!!!!

  • @workensmart - YOU DONT KNOW SHIT

  • @Derail07 Neither do you if you bought one of these things douche.

  • @workensmart - Cool with me....Enjoy spending more money while I save so I can spend it on your whore mother...

  • @Derail07 Your not very smart at all if you think this product does anything and calling some one names on the internet just shows everyone how stupid your are.

  • @workensmart - Godamnit I don’t care if you believe me or not. My 350z has a mpg calculation gauge and it does not lie. Why in thew fuck would I even care. Stupid motherfuckers! I’m just tryn to save you money and give my facts but fuck it. I save more at the pump and you don’t. Mine is a Tornado btw not a Cyclone

  • @workensmart - I double dog dare you to find a 2003 350z that gets 24.7 mpg (stock)

  • Comment removed

  • these are for douche bags

  • I got a twin screw roots type supercharger that does what that cookie cutter does and more! EPIC FAIL!!!

  • bullshit worthless product, DOES NOT WORK, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!

  • its crap, its slowing air down. just upgrade your filter and maybe tubing, i got outa my chevy if you want the POS

  • look on popular science web site they said its a scam

  • For some engines these things might work, but in reality:

    1. You CAN'T install them after the throttle body which is part of the manifold..

    2. Diverting anything - even airflow - means diverting and reducing energy. You're slowing down (and NOT compressing either) the intake air.

    3. If somehow the air vortex DID make it past the throttle plate, then with carbies your fuel would be spun out of the airstream onto the plenum walls.. like many air filter boxes use to remove dust particles..!

  • Mine did not work so I used it to slice potatos like a "vega-matic". Those blades work well on vegatables

  • Using a Scangauge 2, I Installed the Tornado on a 1999 ford expedition and got an increase from 14.5 to 16.5. The less efficient your engine is the better it will work. Every car is different and some may not see benefit, because some ECU's see more air as "lean" and add more fuel. But this does not mean the engine is not breathing better... because it is. The Tornado does work.

  • i got one and i have not got any improvement in fuel milage i use it on a toyota tacoma

  • @whatnameisnotused3 i hope you paid 400 for it

  • @whatnameisnotused3 - Because you have the FACTORY intake system im sure. Buy a AEM Brute Force Air Intake and use a tornado. I have one on my 5.7 Jeep factory 14mpg now its 16+. My 350z has an AEM cold air intake and tornado. Factory 18 Now its 24.7

  • Those things have been shown to HURT fuel economy. Idiots...

  • It so simple i made my own!!
