  • british are bloody scum and never trust those pale faced motherfuckers. good a lot of colored people are in their country and robbing them. their imperialism turned against them and forever will. the hell with this white reporter. i hope he burns in hell.

  • @ 2:31 the guy ask Michael 'Juta'. Means Michael has to take off his shoes. Hahaha..

  • Paatliputra once the greatest city in the world is the poorest in India now!!!! Time changes everything!

  • Indeed a great documentary but I read more than that in schools in India. Some of my fellow country men are so surprised by this documentary as if they have heard of this all first time. It shows students in India do not read books for fun and understanding but just to get marks and reach to next level. It always makes me crazy as it was so fun for me to study history about Maurya dynasty, Gupta dynasty before that stone age, bronze age, iron age and all.

  • Chandra Gupta and His grandson Ashoka are the great Emparors who made thr now India. They are the gratest Kings in the world history!!

  • The actor playing King Ashoka in this video looks like Sidharth Mallya ! His current queen should be careful !

  • @MrSigma It was a sweet surprise to see the segment of Asoka starring Shahrukh Khan in the title role.

  • shame on me and shame on my indian brother n sister: some outsider needed to come and explain us our history :( i never knew all this details while i studied in india for 18 years of my life :( why history book din contain all this details :( regional history only :(

  • @holysmoker24 Don't equate everybody as yours. Shame might be on you but on me and many others. Don't blame history books as Indian history books has these details even in school level. I have read all this in history books in school. You might be bunking class or not taking interests in those books then. Other thing the documentary makes it more visual and it is always easy to understand visually than reading through book. That can also be one of the reason for your ignorance.

  • @holysmoker24 all this was throughout the course of history during 6th to 10th standard in CBSE board...nothing new to me in this video..;)

  • shame on me and shame on my indian brother n sister: some outside needed to come and explain us our history :( i never knew all this details while i studied in india for 18 years of my life :( why history book din contain all this details :( regional history only :(

  • I dont understand why all of indians flock to america when your country is beautiful.

  • @nobody8481 I guess Indians don't realize that....After coming to US I started researching my history.......and I am planning to move back :)

  • @foonty I just say this because you are coming to a land of concrete and greed.

  • @nobody8481 whatever!

  • @nobody8481 yeah but for some indians, life in india is not easy.

  • @nobody8481 NO DOUBT my country is beautiful, but you see, there is lack of job opportunity

  • @nobody8481 :

    Good Question!

    1) Not all Indians have the same thinking

    2) US continues to lure with its American Dream; which actually is a mirage

3.) There are lots of beautiful things in India & many truly unique places but that does not improve the overall quality of life

4.) Workwise: undoubtedly US has more potential than any other country

5.) Curiosity & the desire to be elsewhere: for the same reasons that many Europeans came to US, & removed native Indians & now became native Americans!

  • we have become british designed people we speak there language we display there flag on our t shirts, british stickers on our cars not knowing what it does to spirit of being real indian

  • Great job by Michael Wood

  • The history that we know today is in a very pre-mature state. It's broken, cooked, openionated, biased and definitely not contineous. What so ever the super intelligent western archeologists have came up with is without any concrete proof and indeed can never be proved. Most of the facts have been erased with time or by the rivals/attackers.Eventually, there would be no way to link the threads of time untill time machine is a reality.

  • Ashoka The Great The Immortal King..... the lion of India

  • @vikr4m Ashoka Maharaj did grow old and did die, so he may have been great and like a lion, but certainly not "Immortal."

  • Ashoka the Great!!!!will shine forever..
