  • Nice picture.

  • although the title is completly wrong, what he should have known if he knew only just a bit of jarre's style, this is still a pretty epic song

  • AMAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZING ; )))......

  • ОХУЕННО!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This isn't Jarre; he'd never stoop to something this generic and crappy... oh wait. Teo and Tea. Never mind...

  • Super...

  • This is Vaghelis Papathanasiou remix!

  • Soha nem volt Jarre ez a szerzemény! Ez Kraftwerk remekmű! Aki feltette annak illene tudni! Imádom ezt a zenét!!! :-)

  • Ez KRAFTWERK!

  • Original was "Hot Butter"!

  • @donmcbass No. That is the most known one. The original is: Gershon Kingsley - Popcorn

  • @Lectuz No it's not. The original is by 1970s Hot Butter who modelled their version on an earlier 1960s boring version by Kingsley.

  • @ElectronicMusicUK Sure. In your opinion. Why do Kingsley use popcorn as a picture for that melody? Oh. It's the original version from 1969 that Hot Butter altered to sound more "correct". It sound pretty the same, only Hot Butter's version also souns more clean. Stan Free, member of the First Moog Quartet, rerecorded the instrumental with his band Hot Butter in 1972. Here you have my opinion.

  • @Lectuz Have u heard Kingsley's boring version? Hot Butter brought the tune to life!

  • @ElectronicMusicUK Oh my. YES OF COURSE -_- It would have been utterly completly pointless and retarded if I said so much, and not been listening to it. And that's what I meant. Hot Butter made it sound more cleaner in the beats, so it was better to like and be popular. And I do get the point that you think Kingsley's version is boring. You have been mentioning it in your every response.

  • Popcorn by JMJ ? No... It's not realistic.

  • Vazze! 1972-ben a Novi Sad adóból a Pattogatott Halottkém címen futott és tiltott volt!

Amikor csak tehettük halgattuk az adást!

  • awesome

  • sounds like my microwave!

  • Somebody please tell me why I'm familiar with the beginning.. How come I seem to know it?^^

  • @Zwodo this song played bilion time on radio before net exist

  • @dudewhosaysarrh

You are wrong. The original was by Gershon Kingsley from 1969....

  • le travail rend libre

  • Ein Ohrwurm - unvergänglich!

  • de la P.M.

  • wtf??? howling planetary wolves eat popcorn.... WTF?!?!?!?!?!

  • watch?v=QduVL36_N2I This is original popcorn, and you can tell.

  • This video is incredible.

    INCREDIBLY CRAP. !

  • It's interesting to hear "popcorn"done in G#minor insteAd of Bminor

  • geiler song

  • @wipf1000 These pictures, and many like it, are done by guys with spray paint and shapes which they use. It only takes them a matter of minutes to do and it is pretty amazing to watch how they take shape. Very popular art form in the canary islands.

  • Music's cool but i wanna no wer da pic is frm. dos any1 no?

  • superpopcor really the best disco popcorn ever.amazing

  • My 12" reads M&H band. The original was Hot Butter

  • @WBA1965 the Original was Gershon Kingsley - Popcorn

  • jarre & kraftwerk had a hand in the production of the '12'' special dj remix' version

  • inoubliable!!!

  • this IS kraftwerk, and to ask them i would bet they love it

  • cool

  • Best remix is Aphex's no doubt /watch?v=T1nqwhI14do

  • Not jarre, or kraftwerk but a remix of the M&H band version.

  • ok ....un 10.... molt bona musica.....?

  • Very definitely not Jarre.

I don't get people making that mistake, it's even less understandable that people thinking it's Kraftwerk. It's not in the slightest Jarre or Kraftwerk's style.

This is very definitely The M&H Band...

    watch?v=W9xxdKCJhhU for proof.

  • @weegerri1sm ....that link leads to something completely different, nothing musical anyway.

  • @telescopereplicator

You couldn't have keyed it in right. It leads to my video which proves that this is the M&H Band and not, as some people think, Kraftwerk or Jarre.

  • Who cares if it is JMJ or not? Its still good!

  • This is defenitely NOT jarre!

  • Check out the Anarchic System version from '72, most versions have a slightly creepy vocal, but other than that, this version seems based more closely on that than the Hot Butter version etc. especially in the swirly arpeggio bit (other than the drum production and the sample of the bloke going "Ba Ba Ba....")

  • Yes, M & H Band band, 1987. Maybe the poster is keeping the video title to get more views! Before he got really big, Jean Michel Jarre recorded a version in 1972 among quite a few other versions recorded at the time

  • JM Jarre? ROFL

  • Hatalmas zene.. :)

  • kom ton bide me fait de l'effet :hap:

  • Dieses Lied... Und dieses Bild dazu... Herzergreifend

  • SHOW ME THOSE 11 MOTHER FUCKERS WHO DISLIKE THIS SONG...!

  • I'm pretty sure it's not M&H either, but the Hot Butter version... still completely wrong title, though

  • @shift0 Hot Butter??? You freaking mad? The Hot Butter version has (some of the funkiest) live drums (ever), and it was made in 1972, go figure. Hot Butter version beats everything and this sucks!

  • @cometothesabbat no actually its just the most popular version. i personally like this version more

  • @bludclone totally agree, fucking 786 years to find it....hard...

the end is really epic, with the background synths....beautiful...

  • @shift0 Hot Butter's is the best cover version I meant, nothing beats the original by Gershon/Kingsley.

  • @shift0 what the fuck are you on?! the hot butter version sounds way different

  • @bludclone right - it is the M&H, I checked so many versions right before posting it I must've gotten it all mixed

  • Picture?

  • Je préfère et de très loin la version originale, reprise et c°....

  • hamma ich liebe es!!!!

  • Beginning and the beat sounds like michael jackson but its awesome.

  • The best version of pop corn, but as said, this is not JMJ. It's M & H Band.

  • excelent the best popcorn version, but NOT jarre...common!

  • je qiffe votre music cest la music de lavenir sa souingue et c sans paroles

  • JM Jarre is the best!

  • I still prefer gershon kingsley version

and this music is also the music of an old game for PC ( in the 8O' s ) ====) intitulated

also " POP_CORN - classics " ( this game was very difficult because it' was very fast !!!!" @@@@@@@@@

  • LOL, what JMJ has to do with this? search for 'M & H Band - Popcorn' - the upload from "ericusa2002" (watch?v=7SB8zO0d0_U&feature=related). Great sound quality though!

  • Original track composed by Gershon Kingsley -> watch?v=OSRCemf2JHc This version cover composed by Jean Michel Jarre, not Kraftwerk.

  • This is JMJ cover version. The original is not JMJ or Kraftwerk. This is oryginal version -> watch?v=OSRCemf2JHc

  • UnCraptacular

  • I am a huqe fan of Muse's cover, and I have to say, they did pretty qood! :3

  • fukkin love this tune whether it be JMJ or Kraftwerk or whoever the fuck !

  • Best music!!!

    Wallpaper mandriva:))))

  • NOT Jean Michel Jarre and NOT Kraftwerk.

  • NOT Jean Michel Jarre.

  • Popcorn was not composed by Jarre. It was originally recorded in 1969 by Gerson Kingsley.

  • @hanspf23 Hi, i´m writting to you because i think you know about this kind of music. I love JMJ, i think he based his work on simple melodies and spectacular special effects. I would like to know if you share my opinion on this: I think JMJ took this Pop Corn melody, modified it a little bit, played it slower and added a lot of special effects and he got his most famous pice Oxygen IV..... let me know your opinion please. Grettings from Peru, from a big JMJ fan :)

  • @chirimanar This song is originally composed by Gershon Kingsley in 1969. In 1972 group called "Hot Butter" made most famous version of this tune. Up to this day this song has about 500 and more cover versions.

  • @Prindis thanks for the information, it´s always good to know. I just knew it was not composed by JMJ, but as i said, i think Jarre made Oxygen4 just by slowing down the PopCorn melody.

I do love Jarre´s work, but i think he just copied Popcorn, added a lot of special effects and got his master piece Oxygen4

  • Jarre's version was pre-the PC. This sounds like it is from the 80's.

  • This is the M&H band version.

  • @guerrillaman69 sin duda, Kraftwerkt

  • @guerrillaman69 Yes, and the original was by Hot Butter, not JMJ.

  • not jarre or even kraftwerk!!!

  • @kevpk

im pretty sure this is Jean michelle jarre

  • @Ashtree81 its jean michEL jarre or else he would be a girl lol

  • @kevpk is kraftwerk...

  • This one is Kraftwerk version, can the poster change the title?

  • Is It the Krafrwerk's tune?

  • yes

  • ballata una montagna di volte al number one.....

  • original pop corn 1972

  • @sylvermen the original is from 1969, i think, by G. Kingsley

  • @Panbaneesha You're true, it's from 1969 and mr. Gershon Kingsley wrote it.

  • any1 know what album this is on?
